Part of Your World Part of Your World, Book #1
Reviews

literally so cute i loved it. was it predictable? yes. do i care? no.

౨ৎ | “this is how you die in the zombie apocalypse, i always thought it would be an infected zombie bite or exposure or something, but it’s this. you get a caffeine headache on the first day and you lose your will to live and you just lie down and they eat you.”
— ★ 3/5
don’t get me wrong i LOVE abby jiminez’s writing and the way she always incorporates some type of mental health into her characters. but this was just, meh.
i’m not a debbie downer so i’ll start with the good, i loved the mental health portrayal, and daniel was such a sweet boy and i was so proud of alexis in the last five chapters. and bri, don’t even get me started i love that woman with my whole soul (perks of reading yours truly first i guess).
okay, now here’s where i may not be so… nice. first off cecil can kneel over and die and i would not bat an eye. he was so conceded and egotistical and i wanted to reach into the book and claw his eyes out. god i hate that mean with every fibre of my being its not even funny at this point.
AND THE MAGIC??? literally don’t make me laugh. there is no way you’d make me believe a small town made lightening magically appear or flowers bloom as soon as someone walks into the vicinity. this is a romance book not fantasy.
alexis stance on “he doesn’t fit into my world im rich he’s not blah blah” like i get it to an extent, but when it’s said in every five chapters it just makes me groan.
also daniel baby STAND UP. the fact he was so compliant with just letting ali use him like you’re twenty-eight not two.
but yeah, i liked the characters even though they pissed me off more times then they made me laugh. i did cry once but i was just so overwhelmed with emotions when daniel was talking about alexis.
LOVED bri LOVED hunter.
end of rant.

I really enjoy this one! I couldn’t wait to get to the happy ending which you knew was coming - a beautiful story. I enjoyed the comedy the drama and the love.

This was my first Abby Jimenez book and I ATE it up! I literally laughed out loud and even shed a few tears. This is the first book I’ve ever given 5 stars. I can’t wait to read more from her!

I love Daniel probably top 5 book boyfriend

That was beautiful 🥹

Picked up Part of Your World because I actually liked The Friendzone—yes, I’m that person. This one? Eh, way too lovey-dovey for my taste. The main conflict showed up late, stayed for like five minutes, and left before things got interesting. It had its moments, but honestly, The Friendzone was way better. 3.5 stars because I’m feeling generous.

soooo cute omg

i enjoyed this so much u can never go wrong w found family & small town T___T one of the v rare stories where i didnt really mind the age gap & rich/poor trope! it also touched very important topics such as abuse, intergenerational trauma & healthcare inaccessibility. it was written delicately but still manages to leave an impact. i love the touches of magic in wakan & the attention to detail. im so proud of alexis for finally being able to choose herself & get out of that cycle 🥹 the last chapter & the epilogue brought so much joy to my heart <3 i hope daniel & alexis are always happy 🫂

I love how funny and sad this was

now how in the hell was this lady nearing FORTY YEARS OLD and physically incapable of cleaning and peeling a damn potato. AND NOT TO MENTION SHE ALSO DOESN'T KNOW WHAT A FUCKING BROOM IS ????? girl... it's really hypocritical that a woman approaching menopause keeps calling her twenty-eight-year-old love interest "young" and "a baby" when she can't make herself a cup of coffee... alexis, teenagers can make cups of coffee you need to be so fr right now

This did start off as insta-love, but don't let that deter you because the story progresses into more, even touching on some heavy real-life topics. I really enjoyed this one might be my favorite one I’ve read so far front Abby Jimenez.

4.5/5⭐️ • 2/5🌶️
This was so freakin cute! I can understand why everyone lives Abby Jimenez now and I can’t wait to read more. This was a super cute romance but had that emotional aspect to it as well. I also was scared to see what the reverse age gap would be like and if that would be a big play into the plot. But it was so refreshing that it wasn’t. It was noticed but not made to be a big deal that there was so much more to the story than that. Honestly though screw her parents, especially her father, like the rage that man made me feel. Yeah this book made you feel a lot of different feelings and I’m afraid this is just the start to what I think Abby Jimenez can do to me.

DNF @ 36% wow these girls are MEAN, alexis being overdramatic was pissing me off but ok i can handle it but the friends???? stop it was impossible that everyone read AND love this

i got the ick so bad from her when she said she was a 38 year old woman who didn’t know how to do laundry or use a broom or cook… and then i got the ick again when she treated that hot ass carpenter man like that over and over and over again.

There’s a baby goat in pyjamas named Chloe, and as a fellow Chloe, I was sold immediately lol

no words just amazing !!!

Exceptional!!!! Felt like I was reading all of my favorite fairy tales at once. The love was magnificent, the town was magical, and the characters were absolutely perfect!! Even the “villains” lol!!!!

this book literally had me giggling, gasping, throwing my hands over my face with all different emotions. I. LOVED. IT. one of the cutest books i’ve read in awhile. her dad literally pissed me off so much and i pretty much guessed the ending by saying to myself, "she better do this and that, etc" and she did! i cant wait to read about Bri's story in Yours Truly.

i’m OBSESSED with this story. thank you abby jimenez🙌🏼

Oh my god I LOVED IT. I haven’t read a romcom in forever and this one was PERFECT to get back into it. Everyone deserves a man like Daniel

Deals with some hardship. I loved Daniel he deserves everything. Alexis was a work in progress for sure. But I still enjoyed their story and the small town. Their friends were also a plus.

Highlights

—Hola, ahora no puedo hablar, tengo algo entre manos —dije.
—¿Qué estás haciendo?
—Estoy haciendo… una foto para Alexis.
Silencio.
—Voy para allá.
—¿Qué? No. No vengas.
Oí el portazo de su puerta.
—En serio, Doug, no te necesito.
—A ver si lo adivino. Vas a sacarte una fotografía de cuerpo completo, con flash, en tu baño de mierda y con los calcetines puestos.
Bajé la vista. Mierda. Tenía razón.
Escuché el ruido de su motor.
—Eso es lo que me temía. No hagas nada hasta que llegue.
—Doug…
—NO HAGAS NADA HASTA QUE LLEGUE.
Y me colgó el teléfono.
Quince minutos más tarde estaba entrando por mi puerta. Llevaba un anillo de luz.
—Ni hablar. No pienso usar esa mierda.

OMG! Amo esta escena 😍🙈

It's amazing how someone can touch you, even if you only know them fora moment in time. How they can change you, alter you indelibly.

We would have the best of both worlds. I could dance the night away with him at an extravagant ball and then let him take me home to care for our town, our people — our family. Because sometimes family isn't what you're born into. Sometimes family is found. And l'd found mine in Wakan. l'd found mine in him.
FOUND FAMILY 🔛🔝

"I believe you. I can handle anything you need to tell me. You don't need to protect me from the truth and I'm here to help you in any way I can. It's not your fault. And you don't deserve it."
this is so important!

It's amazing how someone can touch you, even if you only know them for a moment in time. How they can change you, alter you indelibly.

The remnants of small moments in her life that stayed with her forever. Proof of a thumbprint on her soul.

Ali, men are two things. Disappointing and consistent. I believe you

"Grace costs you nothing," I said. And I went back inside.
period

"So youre a villager, she said, sounding amused. "Yup. Any chance I can get you to raid my village tonight? Because I'd like to see you."
sooo cheesy lol

Sometimes family is found.
& it's my favourite trope 🤍

"You know what's so dangerous about drowning?" I said, looking up at him. "It's silent. So unless someone's paying close attention to you, no one saves you."
....

My vagina has officially been closed so long I'm afraid a Spirit Halloween is going to move in."
I love Bri 😭

Eight thousand nerves in the clitoris and still not as sensitive as a white man not getting his way."
🫢🤭😂

"What are you going to make me? Because l'm a very picky eater,"
"Well, I don't have any dinosaur chicken nuggets if that's what you're hoping for."
Stop this is so cute I love them already

Love follows you. It goes where you go. It doesn'tknow about social divides or distance or common sense. It doesn't even stop when the person you love dies. It does what it wants.

" I love you," he whispered. " We are together. This isn't over. And even if you leave, it won't be over because you'll take the love with you and it'll bring you back."

I believe you. I can handle anything you need to tell me. You don't need to protect me from thr truth and I'm here to help you in any way I can. It's not your fault. And you don't deserve it.

It's amazing how someone can touch you, even if you only know them for a moment in time. How they can change you, alter you indelibly.

Sometimes what you have to give is enough. Even if it's a rock instead of a diamond.

"I know it hurts, but just think, now you'll know what it feels like for a man with a cold."
Alexis to a woman giving birth

“What in the world?” I whispered. Then I pushed off him. “Go get your chain saw and move it. I’m still leaving.” He shook his head. “No. No way.” “What do you mean no way? I need to get out.” His eyes were wide. “I’m not messing with that. That was God.”
This made me chuckle, ngl

There’s something more final than forever. It’s never. Never is infinite.
