... Emma finds out her mother had another kid who lived with her parents, Emma's grandparents, and that Emma had been in foster care when she could've been with her extended family this whole time END SPOILER

It was a nice surprise after finding myself sobbing after finishing 

, it gave me a good giggle a few times and cheered me up, and I am definitely rooting for Maddy and Doug. Although it was WAY too short, a 100 or so page novella would've been much more appreciated 😉

It’s a shame that it was so short :( I wish it was a full fledged book!
