One Day I’ll Grow Up and Be a Beautiful Woman

title was a bit misleading because i thought it would be from the perspective of a trans person. i'm thinking a lot about protection vs empowerment and what we/adults mean when we say we "care about the safety of our children", how people will go to lengths to debate that the existence of any gender nonconforming child immediately infringes upon the rights of a (presumably) cis child. a lot of the language around allyship and protection made me a bit cynical at times but overall an extremely harrowing read
