Loved seeing olive again

The message here is clear to young readers: women in politics can never succeed unless a man takes pity on her. After all the misogyny in politics in recent years I was looking forward to a more hopeful message. She ran a good campaign. Why not just let her win fair and square one of the spots? http://pussreboots.com/blog/2020/comm...

4.5★ I haven't read a graphic novel in years, but I saw that my little sister had gotten this book from her school's library, and I thought the cover was cute. So, naturally, I stole it while she went to sleep and read the whole book myself (don't worry, I put it back after, and she never even noticed). As for the book though, it was SO GOOD. I absolutely loved the way it incorporated all types of representation into the novel so normally, and I ADORED how inspirational and empowering the message of utilizing your voice is shown throughout the entire book. It was such a good read, and honestly, I think every kid, little girls especially, should read this book at least once. **Also, I love how there were so many great sources and bits of information about historic protests, at the back of the book!!
