Lovvvvved this insight into nhs, life of a doctor and the medical system. Makes you realise how human everyone is regardless of their job. Quite medical which I love but not always everyone’s cup of tea.

A follow on from the authors first book, This is Going to Hurt, picking up after he has left his career in medicine and follows him, establishing his career as a comedian and writer.

While I felt like I didn't enjoy this book as much as This is Going to Hurt, I felt it was a bit too much like Adam Kay was trying too hard to be funny. However, there were still moments that had me laughing out loud, and there was still that underlying heartfelt emotion that made his dark humour more impactful.
