an amazing social commentary about a society’s value on working, how corporations treat their employees, classism, all the -isms actually, anti-amazon, blue collar vs white collar, the school to prison pipeline, just all of it. and it was done in such a funny and familiar way. was it sad? parts of it. but the author managed to paint the story with wide strokes of lightheartedness and the familiar camaraderie that everyone who has worked a shitty job feels comfortable in. i recommend it if you have ever worked a minimum wage job where your work besties were the most random group of people only united in hating your boss.
