This book really wasn’t what I was expecting. I went in thinking this was a psychological thriller, however the story isn't really a thriller at all. It is, however, a fantastic read! 

The writing is well done and it is an easy to read book. The author has clearly used her insider knowledge throughout the book, but she has kept it nice and simple so our brains don't explode. 

Brady has done a fantastic job transporting us into the mind of Sam. It was horrible yet intriguing to watch her life and sanity unravel, like a car crash. The terrifying part of this book is that this is real life. This book should definitely come with trigger warnings, it deals with a whole range of sensitive issues. These issues are tackled by the author with great care and understanding. I really loved seeing how Sam handles everything that is thrown at her and watching her grow throughout the book! 

So yeah, this book probably isn't for those faint-hearted people. It's a dark, gritty story that focuses on peoples demons and their struggles with them. But! I highly recommend it! It really is a fantastic, intriguing read and I doubt you'll be disappointed with it. I mean I went in expecting some thriller like Gone Girl, but I still came out the other side extremely satisfied with the book I read! :)
