I didn't feel like this book was as good as the first three in the series. It was a nice ending, but I feel like alot was left out.

4.5 for me, honestly this book made me suffer and laugh and feel for all of the characters, what a great ending to a great story

I know it’s toxic but I just love those 2. Their passion… 🔥

Loved this whole series, I just couldn’t get enough. So many emotions. And so much enjoyment when reading. Loved these books so much

Anna Todd does not realize how difficult and unlikely it is for a fist to crack the wood in houses. Drywall? Yes, that stuff is easy to break. But wood counters? No. The funniest thing about this book is that Hardin and Tessa have a conversation about abusive relationships, but the writing was so that it was clear Anna Todd did not actually believe the toxicity of Hessa was actually real. Anna Todd glorifies abuse. If you identify with Hardin and Tessa's relationship, go to therapy, get out of your relationship, and get some help. Also, the ending is highly unrealistic. Hardin would have violently killed Tessa years before because Hardin is a manipulative, abusive fuck that should have gone to prison multiple times.

The Strongest Couple Ever!

hate to say i had to force myself to finish this series

4,75/5 ⭐

Beautiful ending to one of my favorite series.

let me start off by saying that this series was shit. absolute, utter shit. did i enjoy the story itself? no, not really. did i enjoy the reading experience, though? absolutely. there was just so much wrong with this series. the characters were just horrible (save for a very select few) and the misunderstanding/miscommunication trope was so overused. the books also dragged on too much, and i personally believe that they could've been cut down like 200 pages each by removing the unnecessary added arguments that had no real basis. the ending was cute tho

I don't know how this happened. I really don't. The last 100 or so pages of this book had more romance in it than the rest of the series. And by golly, Hardin isn't an abusive fuck anymore! Praise the nonexistent Lord! I still wanted to slap him. On more than one occasion. And every time I picture his character, piercings and all, I see Chad Gray from Hellyeah, so there's that. Except Chad Gray was never abusive, so there's also that. I also laughed when this book provided a huge "fuck you" to everyone when Tessa and Hardin were talking about the signs of an abusive relationship (of which I say, no matter what you think, Hardin, you were abusive, case closed). Anyone look at the cycle of violence and study that people who were abused as children tend to grow up to be abusers themselves? Hardin anyone? And no, that's not always the case, but still...HARD-IN anyone? Also, why is his name Hardin? It sounds like a fucking euphemism. And why is Zed's name "Zed"? That is literally how the Brits pronounce the letter "Z", so how am I to believe his parents literally thought naming him after the sound people make when they snore was a good idea? Am I allowed to give Zed crap? He turned into one big asshole in the end anyway. CLOSING THOUGHTS: I love to hate this series, but I also hate to love it. HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE???? ANNA! TODD! YOU MADWOMAN! How is it possible that I found myself liking Chad Gr-- I mean, Hardin Scott in the end? While also simultaneously rooting for Hessa to prevail? Why did all this only start happening within the LAST ONE HUNDRED PAGES OF AFTER EVER HAPPY??? Also, all those time skips in the end were awkward and didn't flow correctly, but I guess when I'm still reeling over my newfound appreciation for Tessa and Hardin's antics, the awkward writing doesn't matter in the end. END VERDICT: If you love frustrating romances that make you want to kill everyone in the book up until the last one hundred pages, then this series is for you! But if not, then, well, you may have better luck somewhere else.

** spoiler alert ** my fav after book!!! im so happy they got a happy ending!!!!!! i was so worried

Unnecessary length and number of books. I enjoyed the ending because they're cute, I always believed in them. But Anna made the last two books so dramatic and unncessary and it ruined what the series could have been. It started so strong, fun and dramatic but not its just silly. It was very unrealistic Hardin is a hilarious dad and they deserved to get to that point, I think Hardin really worked out in the end and improved himself.

** spoiler alert ** ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for hardin -⭐️ for Tessa.... I loved hardin’s story even through his struggle it was incredible to watch his growth and finally see him in the end as an incredible role model to his family and friends. His story of acceptance was one I enjoyed. Now Tessa and her little mind games and fits? Still want to throat punch her.... sorry.... kinda.

The last book in the series wraps up all but a few questions that the reader has over the course of reading the entire series, but moves at an inconsistent pace. Ok read up until the last few chapters, which ended up frustrating me because the ending chapters just don't match the style of writing we've grown accustomed to.

I love the after sequel with everything I have. since the first time I red the first book I couldn´t put it down. I love the chemistry between Tessa and Hardin and this sequel shows us that everyone can change for the right person even thought your past may not lead you in that direction. The love and passion of these two characters will make you fall in love, cry and smile. The ending of "After ever happy" it's amazing and my favourite book of all the 4. Highly recommend it !!

I loved this book! And I'm so happy this was my last book of 2016. I had to shorten my goal because of reading slumps, but I loved how many great books I read this year.

** spoiler alert ** I’m finally done with this series. I should have never started but I could not stop because of the cliffhangers at the end of each book. I’m really disappointed. The only reason I kept reading was the cliffhangers and maybe Hardin’s “progress”. Spoiler alert: there isn’t really any progress. There was something at the end but I couldn’t follow it that well because of all the time jumps. Like how many were there? Like 6 or something. We didn’t even get to see the wedding and that was the only wish I had to see after all the drama. But no, let’s just time jump over that part. I would rate the whole series 1.5 stars. The books are so bad but sometimes I like the drama.

Amazing. I cried almost all the time I read it. A beautiful ending for a powerful series's.

This was basically 'After we collided' with non of the drama (the only thing that kept me engaged in the series). Just replace Seattle with New York and here we go again. I've never skim read a book faster in my life it was so b o r i n g . And somehow all there relationship problems and family drama ends with a 'and they all lived happily ever after...' okay so we aren't going to address the elephant in the room? It just was so unrealistic I got kicked out of the fantasy because I couldn't even imagine a scenario where it would end in such a clean, perfect way. felt like Todd was just clearing all the bits and tying all the ends but it left me feeling like it was all a waste of my time in reading the books because for such a painful relationship it had an ending that was dumb imo.

To me, this book is a prime example of being sure to read an entire series. There is so much growth that happens in this book and I really appreciate all the glimpses into the future that we get at the end. Who needs an epilogue when you can have a bunch of time jumps. I know that many people have issues with the main relationship in this series as being a toxic one. Which honestly it is at times and even the characters are able to admit that in this book. This book looks at the aspects of growing as individuals and facing your own demons before you are truly able to be with another person and I am here for it.
