Reviews

This was one of the better books in the series. I think that because there was a lot of build from the first two added to this one. I was annoyed by the thought processes of the characters about the situation in the book about one of the main characters(the build in the book) but it was nice to see it come around. This will be a repetitive thing about this series is how abruptly all of these books end. This was another victim of that when they go through a third act break up what felt like 15 pages before it ended but still ended up together. It’s chaotic what is focused on and what is rushed in the book.

3.5

4/5 ⭐️ This book was pretty good. I hate Rhett even more than I did before. I’m glad Brady was finally on the right side. Bryony is so adorable. <3

The series is getting kinda repetitive. New girl or one that moved away. Daddy Issues. Telling only each other secrets. happily ever after. But I wanna know what happens after. Is it really happily ever after? It's a tad bit predictable. I loved Bryony. She's so cute.

WHY ARE THESE BOOKS SO SHORT?? i was up so late reading last night, couldn’t put the damn book away. and the way they broke my heart at the end... not fun.

I honestly didn't know what to think at first. It took so long to read this book because I fell out of reading but I have been really wanting to finish a few books I have started. The beginning was slow but the ending was great. I really did think there was going to be more of Rhett but there was only a snip-it. I gave it a 4 star because I didn't read it all at once, so it was a little hard to get back into. I would have given it a 5 star if I read it all at once. I will most likely try and read the other books to the series and by the same other. Abbi Glines is a great author and has lots of potential to be my top 5 authors this year.

Really cute and adorable!

I am just excited yet nervous to read the new story in The Field Party series. Abbi Glines has always know how to write such power angst romance story ever. It is always unexpected but powerful to read. And After the Game will be exactly like it. There is so much that we do not know but we will after finishing it. Let's start. From the previous books, we get a glimpse of the main female character, Riley. She seems troubled for the crew but we will discover the whole truth about her that it is going to surprise everyone here and inside the book. Riley has a tough year before she went away. No one ever believed that she was raped but it is definitely true. It is not a surprise but it is common for victims not to believe about the crime. It is a sad truth. We get to see an emotional state of Riley when she gets back to town. She is a girl woman who faced a harsh crime but it did not stop her whatsoever. I definitely love her as a person. She is strong but she is also a kind. While she is back to her hometown, she gets reunited with her family as she continued her studies and take care of her daughter. Even if she wants to avoid anyone from her past, it is a small town and it is bound for them to see her. And guess who see her first, Brady. Brady is the golden boy that he is the nicest person ever. But it bound for Brady break rules especially when he sees Riley and her daughter. The first time he saw, he could not stop. She was drawn to him to every way that no girl ever did. He knows it is breaking the rules when he gets to see her since his crew does not like her for false lies that were spread. But he cannot stop and will not stop. It will take every will power to get Riley with him but he does not care cause she is the one for him. While he is getting Riley to the program about being together no matter what trouble, he is also going to face some home trouble that it is going to break everyone heart even your. Mine definitely did and it is so unexpected but I am proud on how Brady face the situation head on after he had an emotional breakdown. After the Game will definitely get you feeling all kinds of emotions because you feel for them in every way since it really happens in daily life. 5 stars!

Find this review and more at kimberlyfaye reads. As I mentioned in my review for Under the Lights, I did a little Field Party binge before the release of After the Game. I loved this book so, SO much. It was a quick and easy read and I devoured it in about two and a half hours. What a great book! I thought Riley was a great heroine, especially for a YA book. She'd been through one of the worst things a person can endure, followed by being treated really poorly by people in town, but she came out the other side stronger. She also ended up having an absolutely adorable little girl as a result. This part could've gotten so preachy, but it didn't and I appreciated that. Riley made the decision that was right for her. I won't say any more than that. When she returns home to the town that shunned her, she's obviously bracing for the worst and she does get a little bit of that. But she also finds some true friends and even a little more... In the previous book, I liked Brady but I also thought he was immature and self-centered. He was anything but during this book. Riley brought out a totally different side of him and I really liked that side. He was sweet, thoughtful and, honestly, pretty damn swoony. One of my favorite things about this book was how much he'd grown. I loved him with Riley, even when they were just friends. The scenes with him and Riley's daughter, Bryony, were too cute for words. Most of all, I loved how he helped make her transition back to her hometown smoother. I enjoyed After the Game so much! It was such a great addition to The Field Party series. It gave me feels without too much angst and, honestly, it just made me smile. I adored the characters and it was fun to root for them. I hope this series isn't over just yet. I'm not sure I'm ready to give it up. I received a copy of this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Glad we finally see all of Brady. However the reaction to the main conflict is a bit repetitive. One of the more mature relationships however not my favorite ending.
