As much as I loved hadron getting a POV in this book the constant drama is too much. The ups and downs are so all over the place and constant that it makes it seem like the most toxic yet romantic relationship that you want to root for while you also want to throw the book across the room...

I loved this book with all my heart. I got so attached to the characters and couldn’t get them off my mind. One minute I was laughing and grinning from ear to ear and then the next I was balling my eyes out for half an hour. This book was amazing and I can’t wait to read the third one.

Hardin needs therapy. Hardin is abusive. Hardin is not a good partner. Hardin should be in jail. Tessa should have gotten a restraining order. Tessa would realistically die at the hands of Hardin's abuse. The amount of times characters essentially say, "I know he's abusive toward you, but you can withstand his abuse," to Tessa is disgusting. Maybe I'm the only one, but Tessa's car was still wrecked by the end of the book, but apparently Anna Todd literally forgot that. Harry Styles does not deserve to be haunted by a series that paints him as an abuser because of someone's desire to see him as a bad boy and fuck him. Also, while I'm sure that Shane East has done phenomenal jobs narrating other audiobooks, this one, with the switching perspectives in the middle of sex scenes, is cringey at best. I literally do not care about a man's personification or narration of a woman during sex.

To be honest I feel like this is the worst book that I have ever read... I mean their relationship is the definition of abusive and toxic.

I really really really hate this book series. Anna Todd has not bothered to plan the plot before writing each book, and it very clearly shows. The storyline is repetitive, Hardin and Tessa's fights are redundant and unnecessary, and the book's purpose in terms of the series' storyline as a whole could have been condensed into half of the 650 pages, maybe even less. Yet, as much as I dislike and have a lot to complain about concerning this series, there is something about the characters and their relationship that make me want to keep reading and find out what happens next. So we'll see if I last.

Honestly one of the most frustrating stories I’ve started reading but I can’t seem to put the book down. Don’t start the After series unless you want to be driven mad with constant back and forth because the second you start reading you can’t stop.

Book 2 I truly enjoy this books, not only because of the language but also because of the realism this book has about teenage love, it doesn’t mean its this intense or not, but it’s the most realistic.

Wow that ending but it really didn't need to be that long tbh. - 4 Star Second Read - 3 stars. Nope nope Anna Todd, again what were you thinking!?! You should have fixed this up before release. I hope that the movie fixes the issues. It only gets 3 stars for the same reasons as the first book plus Trish

** spoiler alert ** Me reading first half of book 3: (Insert swoon giphy and all the 😍😍😍😍😍😍) I enjoyed the light humor and growth Tessa and (mostly) Hardin shared AND the visit to Seattle was my favorite! .....But I am with everyone else. I am over the fighting. Literally they yell at each other and don’t listen, then have sex, then talk it out and then they are fine. Me reading second half of book 3: (Insert confuses and angry giphy 😡😡😡😡) Tessa I feel like at this point is so wrapped around herself she is almost more of an inconvenience and complete misery with her randomly kissing guys and having to be needed by someone even if it’s not Hardin. Second half of the book just made me absolutely angry. Zed stepping in and wrecking havoc and Tessa playing into it has almost been too much for my heart to handle... and from what I heard I have the 1st half of the 3rd book to be upset still... great. My favorite part of this book is the development between Landon and Hardin. That in itself gave this book 2 of the 3 stars and the last star is basically because well, it’s a love story and I still have hope.... All I’m saying is this better end well or I am going to be so upset. I hope we have some serious growth instead of constant setbacks. No matter how horrible it is, I’m so team Hardin. On to the next book.
