This book did not get good until after about the 130 page mark. It felt like a chore to get through it up until that point. I like the science fiction-esque portion of this novel and the way in which power and politics were spoken about but that is pretty much it. The characters were interesting for the most part although there were some characters that I felt were unnecessary and just made the story a bit confusing because I couldn't remember who they were and their importance to the story.
