At this point, I don't think AJ Wolf can do me wrong. Her writing just hits every checkbox and I am never bored. While I might not have been very attached to the characters, I enjoyed the story and I was never not once engaged in the story. 

I do have to say though, that if you are a person who is annoyed when you predict the twist very early on, I would hesitate to pick this up. I'm not one of those people so I still enjoyed it regardless. I predicted the twist in the first half of the story and it just made me so much more engaged. 

I decided to go with 4 stars because this book was promoted as a "psychological thriller & romantic suspense" but I didn't think there was any romance. I didn't feel the chemistry between the two characters and I never once felt like they were endgame. I felt the one-sided obsession the heroine had with the hero (?) but other than that, yeah, I felt nothing. 

My favorite part was definitely the last paragraph! 100% loved it. Even though I did predict the twist, I didn't see the ending coming. I thought it was like any other romantic suspense book but noooo. If you have ever read Aggro by Coralee June and Carrie Gray and was shocked by the ending, this was exactly how I felt. It really brought it back from 3.5 to 4 stars. 

Going back to the writing. Wow. I mean, AJ Wolf has such a way with words. Every book I have read from her has left me with a quote or phrase that I just can't get out of my head and this one was no different. I would even go as far as recommending this book just for the writing.
