Tangled Hair Love Poems of Yosano Akiko

Yosano Akiko (1878-1942) is admired as the greatest woman poet and tanka poet of Modern Japan. These poems come from her book Midaregami or Tangled Hair which was an immediate success when published in 1901. The poems are complemented by a series of delicate drawings by Japanese artist Hide Oshiro.
