I didn't finish this book because the writing of the Scottish accent was "offing" me.
I just really couldn't get into it.
The story was kind of bland -ish, the main character wasn't being a main character.

I hated this so much. The characters had no chemistry. Also how was she living normally with her only job being a part time librarian? The guy was obviously scottish but the way it was written made me want to cut my eyes out. Almost every sentence he spoke was written weirdly to show his accent, but it was very uneccessary.

I gave this book 3.75/5 stars!!

This was a really cute read for the most part! I loved seeing Paige realise her worth and independence! Paige and James' relationship was adorable and I loved seeing them helping each other and still falling in love. Her knowing what she wanted (and needed) in a relationship after her breakup was great to see, I loved that she didn't let the prospect of James change her priorities. I loved Kayla and Eric too!! The only thing that bothered me about this book was some of James' dialogue was hard to understand because of the Scottish accent. 

Despite that, this was still a lovely quick read that made me love the characters and made me laugh! I would definitely recommend, thank you to the publishers for the ARC :)

Scotsman in the Stacks had everything to make a great romance story. I like the author's writing style, I enjoyed the characters and the storyline. 

What was missing for me was the conflict. Everything goes perfectly throughout the whole book. The author writes what is going to happen in the story and it does happen, but it was quickly resolved. I wish there had been more to it somehow. 

Overall I did enjoy this story and I would more from the author.
