This book is a must if you practice this martial art or are curious about it. 
It's written by a Scholar on the subject whose mother tongue is english (so its not a bunch of lost in translation Japanese texts that is common if you search over the internet).
Starts giving an overview on the history of this weapon and how it turned into a martial art.
The second part covers every aspect of theory, from how to fold your uniform, to correct posture and position of your body and to deal with all the rules and manners.
Explains how a class has to be conducted, how to plan a championship, how to study for the examination test and every topic of the practical part of the training (ex: Katas, Shikake-Oji, and Sparring).
Many topics are accompanied with black and white photos and illustrations for a better explanation.

I live in a city which there isn't a proper Naginata Dojo, and with this book and a little discipline is enough to, at least, keeping me active and updated.
