Some parts of the book were tolerable but most parts, oh most parts, are one of the most annoying things I've read. Definitions of annoying: ✖ Over the top declarations of love by the female protagonist in the beginning of the book. ✖ Female protagonist constantly insists on being a childish brat. ✖ Female protagonist continues to be ungrateful in most parts of the beginning of the novel (whilst her siblings shoulder the consequences meant for her). ✖ The female protagonist's ramblings contain sacrilege or blasphemy which may be offensive to some Christians's beliefs. ✖ Female protagonist's behavior does not progress but worsens throughout the story. And there was one thing left unresolved. Xavier's importance to Heaven. It would have been nice to know the answer to that. The part nearing the end was sort of a disappointment but the ending itself was pretty standard. I expected something more engaging, something that would rock my socks off. There were also good things about this book. Now let's talk about those parts. The alright parts of this novel: ✖ The action scenes were engrossing. Good job for that! ✖ Some plot twists shocked me. I literally did not see them coming! Two thumbs up for that! ✖ Sense of humor was added. Nice touch ;-) ✖ The cheesiness of most of the professions of love lessens as you breeze through the pages. ✖ The conversations are realistic. And it just flows. ✖ But Bethany Church is still annoying and her importance and her role is still, to me, unexplained. If you were to look at this wholly with a positive perspective, you would say that the book's just trying to tell you that nothing compares to the joy of being human. But unfortunately, I am a realist and I would not like to remain blind and look with those eyes. I'm sorry but Halo was better than Hades and Heaven. There. I said it. Sorry not sorry.

In some part I got really bored but in others I didn't stop reading. *****SPOILER****** I need answers because they didn't say what happened to Emily in heaven and what happened with Gabriel with all of that losing parts of his wings and if he finally accept Molly. I love Xavier but he let me with a strange feeling in the end, not a bad one but no a good one. I just can't say how I feel because is a mix of happiness, sadness and emptiness. And many questions.

Short review: This could've been an epic finale if it had had a more likeable and reasonable Bethany, more elaboration on what was happening with the other characters, and if there had been one major event in which Bethany, Xavier and possibly Ivy and Gabriel had participated. If you have read the first two books then I think 'Why not finish the thing?' If you have not, then... well, it really isn't a big deal. You aren't missing on anything. Long one: (view spoiler)[ I've read many reviews of this books and while this one has gifs, I'll try to be as repectful as possible for the sake of the author, because, yeah, I feel bad for her. 1) First off, It's cool they are teenagers and want to get married. No issue there. It happens in many books. It has consequences: Perfect. But Bethany's reaction, after two books of "character development", should've been different. 2) The relationship: Bethany thinks Molly's thing with Wade isn't healthy. Well, hers isn't exactly better. There's a very thin line between 'I would sacrifice so much for him because I love him and will do everything I can for us to be together' and 'I can't live without him, I need him to breathe, If I'm not with him I want to die.' See? I found Bethany's sacrifice something amazing but Xavier doesn't really react accordingly. I get it he must be beyond happy, but hey! Shouldn't that be some major drama detonator? 3) Gabriel loses his wings in order to help Xavier. He apparently becomes invisible after that because the moment Raphael steps in, nobody looks at him or goes to help him after having his wings ripped. No, of course not. 4) I liked the idea of the septimus being bad, but it was lacking something to make it brilliant. 5) Bethany doesn't care about protection 6) At one point Ivy disappears and Bethany is worried. Two years later she's in some mission with Gabriel. It's never explained where the hell she was. --I was left curious-- 7) I don't find the MC as someone I like to read about because she isn't interesting. Xavier was okay but at times he really has to start thinking for himself. (hide spoiler)]
