Absolutely marvellous. We met Christian and Matilda briefly in the first book and I love that we still get to be surprised by their story. What we saw in the first book wasn’t entirely accurate and Matilda has lied a little to get her sister off her back but it meant a much more enjoyable story for us. I loved Christian being so reluctant to be involved with Matilda yet somehow unable to resist her with her stubbornness and kind hearted ways. Forcing herself into his life to help his sister and then somehow becoming someone he loved. 

Couldn’t get enough of it. Cannot wait for Alexandra Vasti’s full length novel to be released immediately off to preorder. I’m a little fussy with historical romance, it’s not my go to genre and if the writing isn’t right (it can’t be too modern or too dry) then I just don’t enjoy it. This is perfect for me.
