Based on the available information and the data hitherto collected, my hypothesis is that the farther away I stay from love, the better off I will be

I’m starting to wonder if this is what being in love is. Being okay with ripping yourself to shreds, so the other person can stay whole.

The ghost of a smile appeared on his mouth, but he said nothing.

i love ali (i really do) but maybe her no face books worked better for me (idk if it's a thing i'm not sure but i love Deep End and PSR). almost dnf this one... overall it was okay but it just doesn't work for me

I read this is in a day, it's adorable. Basically the story of two people who, if they just communicated honestly, could have saved themselves a few months of emotional anxiety and stress. But super cute! I recommend!

Love Hypothesis

The book is very passionate about the story it tells, at first book might be a little boring but when you start to understand the characters you start to enjoy a lot. Book does a very good job on making you feel attached to the characters. Smut scenes felt a bit too much for me so i skiped a couple pages there but overall this book is doing a really good job on giving you a good time and making you feel lost in the book. I have never felt this much emotions while reading this book. At some parts i found myself giggling and im in this emotional rollercoaster. I enjoyed this book a lot and would recommend it to anyone who wants to have a good time while reading.

When a fake relationship between scientists meets the irresistible force of attraction, it throws one woman's carefully calculated theories on love into chaos. As a third-year Ph.D. candidate, Olive Smith doesn't believe in lasting romantic relationships--but her best friend does, and that's what got her into this situation. Convincing Anh that Olive is dating and well on her way to a happily ever after was always going to take more than hand-wavy Jedi mind tricks: Scientists require proof. So, like any self-respecting biologist, Olive panics and kisses the first man she sees. That man is none other than Adam Carlsen, a young hotshot professor--and well-known ass. Which is why Olive is positively floored when Stanford's reigning lab tyrant agrees to keep her charade a secret and be her fake boyfriend. But when a big science conference goes haywire, putting Olive's career on the Bunsen burner, Adam surprises her again with his unyielding support and even more unyielding...six-pack abs. Suddenly their little experiment feels dangerously close to combustion. And Olive discovers that the only thing more complicated than a hypothesis on love is putting her own heart under the microscope.

YOU ARE MY NEW BABY. As a woman who loves romance and also has a career in biochemistry, it was really hard to find stories of romance in STEM environments, in part because STEM careers are hard for women just by being women, but if you want romance, marriage and kids, it will be 3x Harder. This book deserves the hype that has, due the story, the character but specially for how well Ali set their world, is accurate without being boring for those who aren’t familiar with it, it also sets well the positive and the negative events that often happen in the Academia World, and those of us who want to pursue a place there often have to endure. For me it’s my new favorite specially because it felt like if she read my diary. Adam Carlsen, I love you. Olive... You and me are almost the same bitch

“because i’m starting to wonder if this is what being in love is. being okay with ripping yourself to shreds, so the other person can stay whole.”

genuinely have no words. i loved adam and olive so fucking much it insane. i was giggling and kicking my feet from their first interaction. you could tell from the beginning that he wanted to real date her not fake.

he was always one of her number one supports and would have done anything to protect her. for real grumpy and sunshine trope. i loved any interaction they had, little or big.

they are by far my favourite ali hazelwood couple. and i loved the adam POV for chapter 16. it gave so much insight on the way he saw olive and his feelings towards her.

reread: this book was by far ten times better than when i first read it back in 2024. adam and olive are perfect for echother. that man was soooo down bad. but i really wished adam had actually killed * because what the fuck?

I want someone to buy me pumpkin spice lattes like Adam does🥼

Not a huge fan of smut books but this one was made to not feel like too "heavy" iyk

I LOVEEE the relationship of the 2 mains

And the fact that she realized she liked him before like the end of their fake dating contract kinda healed something in me towards this beloved trope

I really enjoyed reading this book. It’s the kind of romance that makes you smile at the wall like an idiot and go “Awww.” The humor between the FMC and MMC was perfectly on point, too. However, the plot was pretty predictable, and I felt like the beginning of the book moved a bit too fast.

I rlly rlly enjoyed it :)) LIKE I REALLY REALLY ENJOYED IT!!!!

This is my very first Ali Hazelwood book I’ve finished, and I absolutely enjoyed it! I never expected to love it so much, but the fast-paced opening chapter hooked me instantly. I also adored the fake-dating trope, one of my favourites. Ali Hazelwood captured my attention with the two main leads: Adam Carlsen, a professor, and Olive Smith, a third-year PhD candidate. Their chemistry was electric–––full of tension and definitely spicy. What I loved about their romance was that it didn’t jump straight into passion; it began so awkwardly, which I found so endearing. Adam and Olive’s relationship blossomed beautifully. I loved discovering that Adam had loved and cared for Olive all along. They’re perfect for each other–truly my grumpy x sunshine pairing. I enjoyed seeing them gradually grow comfortable with one another throughout the Love Hypothesis. Adam may be reluctant and stern at first, but he eventually warms up to Olive’s cheeky personality. Their banter was absolutely adorable! Can’t wait for the film next year!

OVVIAMENTE sono state AMPIAMENTE soddisfatte e superate!! 100% recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌶️🌶️🌶️

I promised back then that I will read this at the day before the movie adaptation comes out but I guess I can't wait 🤭 It feels like this is my first time reading hetero romance again and it didn't disappoint! Although some parts may came out as too cliche but it never failed to make me smile.

I loved women in stem! I loved women thriving in what society told us that science is just meant for men. Love how Olive actually carried this whole book because she has the most of the lines and the most of the thoughts! (Where are Adam's?)

Tbh, I cant really say if Adam is one THE standards because this man had to wait for Olive to finally make the first move! He has a lot of years and he knows Olive. Gosh, the thought that what if it was a different man and it's not himmmm?? Anyway, loved his protective side and his devotion for CONSENT (he's a good researcher because he knows this!) and yes, it's the PhD for me.

Ps. I was a bit bothered by a lot use of em dash (—) in every chapter, likee let the person finish what he's/she's saying !! 🥲

Contemporary romance. Fake dating, slow burn and spice meets STEM/Academia. A bit predictable, but an easy read for someone who likes hallmark/romcom books. Although it was a simple read. This book does a good job touching on women’s discrimination in STEM and their struggles becoming scientists. It was a fun read overall. Who doesn’t love a HEA!!

I am so excited that this book will become a new series next year. I've been re-reading this book fro a quiet times and the feels is just still there.

This was a cute, easy read but it didn’t totally blow me away.

I really enjoyed the slow burn between Olive and Adam. It had some genuinely sweet moments that kept me reading but parts of the story felt a little predictable and overhyped for me.

Still, it’s a fun, light romance when you’re in the mood for something nerdy, awkward, and a little swoony. Solid 3 stars!

finally gave in and read this, and i ended up enjoying it much more than i thought i would! i can see why this is the book that catapulted ali hazelwood to fame — so far, i think it might actually be the best out of the books i’ve read by her. it has all her standard storytelling tropes laid out in their most refined form. did not realize i was reading it at such a timely moment w the movie? series? (i can never tell lol) coming out soon, so i’ll be tuning in!

Not to be dramatic, but The Love Hypothesis single-handedly revived my will to read. The slow burn? Immaculate. The tension? Had me kicking my feet, giggling, and putting the book down just to process. And the fact that it wasn’t dual perspective?? Honestly so refreshing – it just flowed effortlessly, and I was hooked from page one.

Olive and Adam’s dynamic had me obsessed. The character development felt so real that by the end I was basically part of their friend group (in my mind). I can’t remember the last time a romance gave me such a serotonin boost. 10/10, would fake date a grumpy professor again.

Un libro bastante fácil de leer. Mayormente lo leía en mi tiempo libre. Me encanto el tema de las ciencias y la dinámica de los personajes.
