I've never heard of the Goose Girl, but I'm intrigued and want to look it up!!

Firstly, I will say that I finished this book within two hours and could not put it down. I was submerged within the pages and couldn't stop myself from reading. 

Briana's story both made me sad, swoon and scream all at the same time. I hated how her story in book one ended; however, I loved her strength and ability to walk away into the unknown with her head held high. She is the kind of girl you'd want to be friends with, like honestly, does she want to be my best friend? She has gone through so much already, and I'm not sure if I will survive her going through an even harder time in book two; however, I will battle reading the complex parts because she deserves her happy ending. (Please)

Elyanna is the worst, and I hope she freezes to death and never finds happiness because she does not deserve it! Alice wrote her character so well that it's hard not to hate her. She is spoilt, cruel, and an animal killer, all of those things are instant enemy territory for me. Do I hope she has a hard time during book two? Yes. Do I hope Briana nails her into a barrel and laughs? If she doesn't, I will! Do I want her to die brutally? Is it bad if I say yes?!? (Can you tell how much I hate her?)

Prince Jian - oh, how he captured my heart from the very first meeting!! Tall, handsome and a loner - I just wanted to hug him. I love watching his growth through book one, especially with Brianna. Their story was so capturing - I hope they get the ending that they both deserve. 

Overall this book was excellent, definitely one of my favourite re-tellings so far!! Book two is only a short while away, and I'm super excited to carry on this journey.
