Presently Perfect

Present Perfect absolutely wrecked me when I read it a few months ago. I loved it. I hated it. I wanted to shake sense into Tweet. I wanted to hate Noah for being such a... boy. I wanted them to find happiness apart. I couldn't help but want them together. It was an emotional roller coaster and it completely exhausted me in the very best angsty book way possible. 

Presently Perfect brought back all those feelings and more. Spending an entire book inside Noah's head wasn't exactly easy. I didn't always want to know what he was thinking. I didn't want to know what happened from his POV at times. Even though I knew how the story ended, I was still half sick to my stomach at times because it was so obvious he and Tweet belonged together. Noah wasn't always likable, but he was behaving like I suppose just about any guy in his situation would. (Though, admittedly, I've never understood the "I can't have HER, so I'm going to hook up with anything in a skirt" mentality. I see it far too often in new adult books and it makes me want to yell and scream.) But, he came through when it really mattered. And, it's not like he was entirely to blame. But that didn't stop me from getting mad at him along the way. 

So yes, this book was frustrating at times, but I knew it would be going in. I thought it might be easier the second time around, but since it was coming from a different POV it nearly felt like a different book. It was sweet and showed the real ups-and-downs of life. I love a good friends to lovers story and Alison delivered that here. It had sexy moments and some that ripped my heart out. Tears were shed. I smiled and laughed. So many feels and emotions. Oh, and a killer epilogue that brought everything back together and makes me desperately need another book to see what happens next with those characters. As long as it doesn't have as many speed bumps as this one did. I don't think my heart can take another one like this.
