All in Full Tilt #2

Emma Scott2016
Reeling from her loss, Kacey Dawson is grieving and heartbroken, her addictive demons hauling her back into the alcohol-soaked abyss she worked so hard to crawl out of. Kacey teeters on the edge of oblivion, and must fight her way through the pain, to build a new life for herself with her music, and somehow fulfill the promise she made to Jonah...one she feels is impossible to keep. Theo Fletcher has a secret burning in his heart, one that he holds close, while he struggles to keep strong for his family that is falling apart. His mother's health is fragile and his father's disapproval is breaking him down. Theo is afraid if he follows his heart, he'll fail, and not just himself, but his brother who believed in him when no one else did. Drawn together by their pain, Theo and Kacey slowly build a friendship, re-forge old ties, help each other to heal, and give one another the courage to reach for their dreams. Together, from the depths of grief and guilt, they learn to laugh again, to trust again, and quite possibly find something beautiful and lasting amid the shattered pieces of their broken hearts. Part II of the two-part Full Tilt duet PLEASE NOTE, this novel is NOT a standalone. It is highly recommended one read Full Tilt first to get the entire arc of the story and to avoid spoilers.

This f—king duet!!!

I have gone through a spiral of emotions throughout it and the second book was no different. Just when I think we have made it if found a way to pull the rug out from under me. I cried happy and sad tears, I get their heartache, I laughed with them, and I loved with them. I loved everything about it the story and the writing was amazing. It captured the story so well and made it just that more of an emotional journey. If you are up for a good cry but some amazing writing I would check out the Full Tilt duet!

I just finished reading this book and I feel overjoyed and elated beyond belief with a slight hint of sadness. I would recommend both (Full Tilt and this) to everybody who wants to truly feel what it is to love someone with all your soul and heart.

Really Amazing book!! I loved it even though I couldn’t image myself in their position and what they were going through and how they coped with that but the writing style made it very understandable and made me fall in love with the characters.

This book helped me get some closure from Full Tilt. The story is so sweet how they overcome all that has happened to them and find love again.

** spoiler alert ** If you haven’t read Full Tilt, please don’t stay. I need to rant about this book and I’d like to not spoil the first book for you. … Jonah’s death hurt so much and after reading the synopsis (don’t read the synopsis, major spoilers) I wasn’t sure I liked where it was going. The only other book I’ve read where the main character dies and the other falls for someone else in the sequel is Me Before You and I honestly did not like the rest of the series because I loved the guy in the first book and no one could compare. This book I was afraid would do the same. I spent the first half confused of how this would work especially with Kacey’s grief. I went into this determined that I couldn’t like her with Theo over Jonah because I loved Jonah so much. But I’m finished with this book, and I love them both differently but I do love them both. I love the ending of this duology. The first made me so sad, so I’m so happy Kacey got a happily ever after.

That's part of the insidiousness of addiction, I thought. You remember the depth and blackn ess of the hole you were in and not the strength it took to pull yourself out.
