All the Lies We Tell
Reviews

This book is one I enjoyed and it was completely not what I expected. I mean, I went in expecting a touch of family drama but really whole heaps more of romance. I got way more family drama and a lot less romance. The romantic plot was significant but I really feel it was far more about Allie's growth as a person and learning she didn't need to hold onto the past and that she can be daring and do something unexpected. It was also about the Stern brothers, Ilya and Nico, coming back together and really learning how to be a family again. I was so intrigued by the whole book, especially by the mystery surrounding Allie's sister because I can just tell there is more to come with that whole storyline. It was so well done and really smart. I did find Allie a little annoying in how she approached Nico because the girl was playing games! I hate nothing more than the weird mind games women play. I mean, she set him up saying one thing which he took at face value but then expected a different result. She gave him one of those stupid tests which he will inevitably fail and then got angry about it! That annoyed me but that was really the biggest thing which bothered me. Everything else I put down to not fully being in the mood to read at the time I started this. But then everything was going to be a bit meh following on from White Hot.
