I read a 520k+ word fanfic. You can’t just expect me not to add it to my goodreads shelf.

My friend introduced me to ATYD. This is not just the first Wolfstar fanfic I’ve read. It’s also the first fanfic i’ve read in my 19 years of existence and let me tell you, for me, All The Young Dudes is as canon as anything J.K R*wling has ever written. If not more so. And that statement can be solidified with the fact that I’ve never actually finished the HP series. However, I took my time and energy to read the whole of 525, 969 words of the story that isn’t supposed to be “real”. But ladies and gents, it’s as real as it can get! So i believe, this says a lot. 

I have a lot to thank mskingbean89 for:
1. Raw and realistic portrayal of the characters. Especially of Remus. 
2. Giving us unmatched Wolfstar content. 
3. Writing beautiful friendships. *Ahem LilyandRemus ahem* 
4. Refining my music taste and turning me into an intellectual lover of music 
5. Ziggy, Bowie and the gays! 

I thank her for all that but i absolutely do not thank her for the last 15 chapters and ‘Out of the Blue.’ 

Of course, there are some thing that i wished were executed differently but either way, in my head, this fic still remains the story that everything else is build upon and based on.

I would like to take a moment here and point out that I am absolutely disgusted by JKR’s transphobic views and do not support her work in any way.

if I wasn't so emotionally numb from finals, I think I'd be sobbing. I knew how this fanfic (yes, I read a fanfic and am counting it towards my yearly books because it's 500,000 freaking words). anyways, I knew how this book would end and it still messed me up. There were so many quotes that had me ready to start sobbing and... yeah.

The relationships in this story were so toxic and I hate that I saw all my old relationships in them! but, it hurt and it made me feel things and that's all I needed.

absolutely haaaated the characterization of Remus, but I guess it made sense in the context and worked with the story so I can't be too made.

anyways, yes I read a fanfic, yes it made me very sad, no I don't know what I'm going to do now because I feel weirdly empty.

I do not have words. This was amazing. Read it in 4 days and I gotta say that it’s probably one of the best stories I’ve ever read. And it’s not even a published book. A real shame really. Please go read it if you like Harry Potter and ship wolfstar, please please please.

I’ve never added a fan fiction to my goodreads before, but the length of this demands its addition! The first marauders fic I’ve read, but they’ve always been favourite characters of mine even from the brief mentions in the original books. I am absolutely obsessed with the eight main members (Marauders and the girls, yes even Peter pre-betrayal) and Grant as well. I am convinced that Sirius and Remus are soulmates even though I am also in love with them. Cannot recommend this enough and I know I will re-read it again and again, and cry again and again and again and again and again.
