I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH

** spoiler alert ** wait wait wait. The plot ? I mean. Break my heart. The book when the main character was in a coma ... >>> The rest of the story is unfortunately, like ? Not bad but not good... The book was promising though...

** spoiler alert ** As soon as I saw the name Mikki Daughtry, i knew i had to pick up this book and honestly i was not disappointed. This book was like a storm, you don't expect it to hit like that but it did, it really did. So at first, i was very skeptical because i didnt like the idea of the book, and i was scared that the way it would deal with grief and loss would be too superficial. And then the second half of the book happened. And O.M.G. Kimberly was alive ? honestly i was as confused as Kyle. I loved the sudden shift of direction so I ended up giving it four stars.

Really good book, could not put it down. The beginning was bit confusing but after a while I was totally hooked. The plot twists were really good

Definitely not a story that I have read before. At times the mix of worlds became confusing but overall an amazing love story defying all bounds

I can't say I didn't like the book, that would be a lie. There were some astoundingly beautiful scenes that easily brought tears to my eyes (I'm a hopeless romantic in some situations, no need to point that out). It's just that the ending of the book just left me so unsatisfied. I do understand the authors idea, and it was really sweet, and some people probably loved that. But I personally would have prefered something a little... different. But still an overall nice book, especially for all the hopeless romantics out there, who want to get that fairy tail feeling.

It all started with a car crash and it changes Kyle’s life forever. Review I’m in love with this story. It is so heartbreaking and happy, all at the same time and OMG those plot twists. Mind blowing! It was so great to follow Kyle and Marley as they fall in love and safe each other. The characters are great. I especially like Kyle. I don’t know if I have read a book in the male lead’s point of view since Harry Potter so it was a change. And loved it. There is not too many books where you get to read about guy’s emotions and experiences and I loved it. The ending is beautiful and I’m sure this will be a book I will go back to and reread many times. Just beautiful

Alright this was such a mess- The only reason I’m giving it two stars instead of one is because it’s not racist or homophobic or something like that- But that is literally the only positive thing to say about the book.

This book had definitely exceeded all my expectations! Like Will and Stella, this story was one of a kind and it was so beautiful. I loved how Kyle was able to live this full year with Marley in his dream coma state when she tells him stories. It makes their relationship more special, deep and meaningful.
The way Kyle was so persistent on finding Marley and bringing her out of her shell and healing her was just so heartwarming. It goes to show that Marley was right. He understands her.

3.5

One of the best books I've ever read. I was hooked by the first page and the twists were ones I didn't see coming. Would definitely recommend.

i somehow experienced every emotion possible in the short time it took me to read this and the plot twist had me screaming crying perfect storms

2,5⭐* Ibamos tan bien y después del 50% del libro pasó cualquier cosa y los sucesos no tuvieron nada de sentido, además se perdió el mensaje importante de la historia

“You don't need to be like her. You're already everything.” TW PTSD, grief, death, car accident, hospitals This was a rollercoaster…. and not in a good way. I couldn't find it in myself to be invested in any of this book. The characters were boring and just really annoying for the most part, it was hard to be on any of their sides. The romances were also very boring, bordering on creepy half the time. Kyle as a main character I could not get behind, I really disliked him and his obsessive nature. The plot twist really ruined the book for me, my rating was a lot higher before it but it completely ruined the story. The whole “it was all a dream” trope is never fun to read and I wish authors would stop using it for shock value. The positives of this book is that it did make me feel a lot of emotions, it did make me cry on a few occasions. I also really enjoyed the authors’ writing styles, I thought they worked very well together and it’s probably the only reason I managed to finish it.

I usually don’t read romance novels, but this was worth it! The plot is creative and unexpected. Towards the ending, there is a big twist that readers will never expect. 6/5!

This is a book that left me in absolute awe of the characters. The way Kyle’s character grew so much throughout the book was inspiring. Marley was such a bright and happy character and she really made me smile. This book has an amazing twist in the middle that will make you question everything. This is such an beautiful story that I would highly recommend to everyone.

I wouldn't say that I hate this book because there are definetly worse books out there but I absolutely did not enjoy reading it... the whole plot during the coma feels so rushed that it felt like someone was pushing me from behind everytime I wanted to look around and get a feel for the situation going on...
I hated that a lot of traumatic stuff was indicated but we never got to experience it with the main character (already forgotten his name) - like the time when he says that he has to drive for the first time since the accident.. I got really excited and wanted to see how he would deal with it but instead the story jumps two weeks forward and he just drives again from now on. I sat there staring at the words and could not believe it because why tease an important event in his healing process and than never ever talk about it?!
Another thing that gave me the ick was how he reacted when he woke up.
He sees that the girl he loved for six years and who he was friends with since they were five (or sth like that) and that she is alive and well and all he cares about is where Marley is... I get that he is over Kim but that is no way to react when someone you really care about and you thought is dead is in reality not. How he got over Kim so fast (like after two month) was also not it.
I would have preferred if he had mourned a little longer and wouldn't have met Marley next to her grave... kind of disrespectful in my eyes. AND HE DIDN'T EVEN BRING HER FAVORITE FLOWERS! I absolutely hated the main character.
I hated Kim's response, too. When my friend and boyfriend of f*cking six years says to me that I should help him get the girl back he loves who may not even be real after he told me he thought I was dead and that he moved on the first time he visited my grave with the girl he met there I would punch him in the face so hard that he'd fell right back into coma (maybe there you can see her again asshole)...
Also icky on the main character's part was that he kind of harrassed Marley in the real world because she obviously did not want to talk to him but he kept pushing her until she would. Let's not forget that she did'nt talk in general so it's so much worse when he kept trying :/ (Leave the girl alone, omg)
Ridiculous as well that the main character tried to make his best friends date... like sir had a bad conscience and wanted her happy and in love again as well (that is not how that works mister) - I liked the idea of Kim and Ben (is his name ben? whatever) though but her breakup was only eight weeks ago and she loved the main character for six long years so it was kind of rude and unnecessary of the main character to force them to be together... it was so not his business as well (like stay out of it!!)
A good thing after the whole coma situation was that the story slowed down a little and it didn't feel as rushed anymore and maybe the middle was rushed because the one year was actually only eight weeks (but that is no excuse for not letting us feel something and keep rushing forward)

I loved this book. It's written wonderfully. I love the little details and the plot twists. Perhaps it's a bit cliché to some but it's great to me. If you love small details and an interesting story I would definitely recommend it.

As per usual I'm doing my reading through audiobooks. When I got to the plot twist 65% of the way through the book I was screaming and had to pause it—I scared the crap out of my poor housemate. That plot twist was something that I never could have guessed but was written so well. The last half-hour of the audiobook just had me on my toes. I didn't know which way that situation was going to go. I think that this book captures all of the happiness and giddiness that you get from a fairytale but puts it in a modern setting. Sometimes it gets a little trope-y but it's in a way that I enjoy. I read YA love stories for the tropes most of the time and I like how the author acknowledges some of the corny parts throughout the novel through having Kyle comment on them. I think that the author dealt with the hardships and trauma that comes with loss in an amazing way. The second half of this book really took it from one of the many YA novels that I've read and enjoyed to one that is going to stick out to me and stay with me for a while.

I loved this book. It describes and shows grief as not just something that happens but as something that can change and define your life. The characters are flawed and not what you expected them to be, They all deal with grief and hold unto it in different ways but it is the people in their lives that help them to remember what happened but to move forward and towards the future. There is a major plot twist towards the middle to end and I almost cried in the middle of class but it was eye opening and amazing. 🥰🥰

An amazing book! I didn’t like all the cussing, but... otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed the book. The twists and turns of life, and the many near- death experiences only confirm that life is short and we all need to live and love!

I liked the plot, but it was a bit boring.

"Our story won't be a sad one, Marley" I whisper to her. "I won't let it be."
