Recommended for late elementary school based on length and content. The depiction of society's treatment of those with disabilities is raw but very real in this story. James Castle suffered greatly and had so little support growing up, and it's heartbreaking to read. An important reminder that we have not always treated those with disabilities as kindly as we do now.
