I loved this book! I read it poolside while I was in Jamaica and it was a perfect fit for my trip. I was hooked as soon as the heroine, Jenny Shaw, enters the airport to begin her trek to Seattle and couldn't wait to read what happened next. 

Jenny's situation, being mistaken for someone else (and going along with it) did seem a bit contrived, but as I kept reading, I realized it's something that most of us dream about doing. Don't we all want to be someone else, even for a moment? Don't we all have someone or something we'd like to escape from. While I was on the beach escaping the cold weather of northern Canada, Jenny Shaw was escaping a life she was unhappy with in New York. The relationships she builds with her "new" friends in Seattle are heartfelt and one even I would desire having. 

Overall, I felt like I really was one with Jenny's character and the predicament she got herself in. "Why Can't I Be You?" is a heartfelt and quirky read and I can't wait to pick up Allie Larkin's next book.

Have I ever wanted to be someone else? Absolutely. Do I think I would go to the lengths Jenny went in this book? I mean. Never say never. 😜😜😜
No but actually this book had me screaming STOP YOU’RE IN TOO DEEP a million times, but I couldn’t stop reading. It’s so humorous that the times it switches to describing Jenny’s sad life really hit you. It’s a nice balance.

At first this book was a little weird. I mean, who would impersonate someone like that? But I quickly got sucked into the story and had to keep the pages turning to find out how she spilled the beans and what it was that Jessie was hiding! Great story and a fast read. Highly recommend!
