Out of the three books in this series, this is the best written piece of fluff. It really is well written and it pains me to see such talent wasted on a story cobbled together into an insubstantial mess. The multiple, alternating POVs left many plot threads dangling and unsatisfactorily resolved. Many of the characters lacked depth or perspective. I suppose that Celeste is supposed to be seen as a sort of secondary protagonist at least from the prominence that Pittman gives her at the end of the novel. However, none of the alternating POVs belongs to her. Thus, the reader has no chance to connect with her making the ending fall flat.

Having now read the entire series, I can conclusively state that I cannot recommend these books at all and actually have to recommend against them. There are too many good books (even fluff books) for someone to waste her time on this series.
