This had all the components of a book I like but I just didn’t end up liking it 🤷🏻♀️

the “i’m so small and he’s so big” damsel in distress, male protector “i’m the one who takes the bullet” thing was overplayed in this book. i was rolling my eyes. this was an okay mystery but definitely predictable. i don’t think people who love mysteries would love this book because it was like 80% fake enemies to lovers and 20% mysteries. but even romance lovers might not love this book because the romance was just .. blah. incredibly heavy handed with the tropes and not even trying to hide it, like he actually said at one point “touch her and i kill you”. it really took me out of the book.
