What makes this book so difficult to read is the expectation of finding a romance happening all around Portugal. It isn’t. This is just random thoughts and a love story imagined by a very provilidged man of the XIX century. It has some interesting points in its own way, but it is not the type of reading I enjoy or that I was looking for when I started to read this book.
