The MC's constant extemporizing about events that will happen is annoying. It reads like she is trying really hard to impress the reader with how cool she is.

"I sit on a throne of corpses" - Fuuuuckkk all the way off. I can't believe how edgy and cringy this is. And it's so often, there's no break from the edge.

"I could have told him I was the queen. I've actually since met the queen and I doubt she'd care If I said that" - I don't care. Why should I care if you've met the queen? I don't know you. Also why would you tell me this? You've robbed your story of tension.


This book tells you everything (even what will happen in the future), and shows very little. The whole things feels like it could be a submission to /r/IAmVeryBadass. MC is the coolest person alive, and she doesn't shut up about it.
