“Alpha & Omega” is the sixth and final volume in the Locke and Key series, and what a finale it is. It is everything Joe Hill & Gabriel Rodriguez have prepared readers for and more. Dodge enacts his plan of revenge on the Locke family with the goal of opening the Black Door in the Drowning Cave. Now that he has the Omega Key very little stands in his way. Be prepared to be shocked. To cry. To shake your fist at the book in your hands. To yell at Joe Hill for his brilliance. The final issue is a coda. And Hill and Rodriguez aren’t letting readers go without some tugging of the heartstrings. I got choked up multiple times. “Alpha & Omega” is an amazing conclusion to a heartful horror story about the trauma of our past, the strength of family, and the secrets we keep buried. It's also about heroism and hope. I can't wait to reread it. If I had one complaint it would Dodge’s master plan was a huge disappointment (it was quite banal) and stereotypical. I however think while a more creative plan could have been used, this issue doesn't ruin the run for me.
I think I failed to understand some of what happened at the end. Still good stuff, though.

More Locke and Key! How exciting! This is a story that takes place before the main series, and is meant to be one part of a greater set of shorts during the "Golden Age" of the universe. Despite the size of this book, the actual comic is only the size of a single floppy which was a disappointment. There are a lot of supplementary materials, including an interview and the original script of the comic. However, I would recommend readers wait until this is collected with the other upcoming stories in this timeline as this is quite a bit of money for a single issue. The story is fun, but I definitely want more content.
** spoiler alert ** Well I am happy to say that this series ended well. I always HATE it when something ends badly. But this series ended so well, it tied up every single loose end, and it left no questions unanswered. Thats what I love about the series, they didnt leave anything unanswered. All in all the series was amazing. It was so unforgiving and it killed off characters left and right with no mercy. I would wholeheartedly recommend this series to anyone even if you are not a big fan of graphic novels. This series is worth it. 5/5

Reread February 10th, 2021 Honestly, just amazing. A very strong finale. I think that it's great when authors can make the last installment the best one! So glad I own all six books now. First read November 18th, 2015 Yup. Probably the best one. so much happened, sad and joyful. I really, really enjoyed this series.
Just finished reading volume 6, which finishes up the series. I've grown attached to this family and I didn't want this to end but Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez have done something great and all good things must come to an end. I have a lot in my head right now (haha), thoughts about how people can change, how pain and fear can change us and not always in a negative way, the importance of family, and so many other things I am having trouble putting into words. All I want to do is read this entire series again but alas, I have to go to work in the morning. Thank you Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez. I hope you will work together again sometime in the near future.

If I could rate this 100 stars, I would!!!! I love it, it broke my heart, and it slowly pieced it back together even if not completely. It was an amazing adventure.
Ah, this was a perfect ending, it hit me right in the feels. I’m so sad it’s already over, but I mean, I kind of binge read the whole thing in a few days, so that’s my own fault! This was a thrilling, engaging and emotional finale, it perfectly wrapped up and summed up the whole series. Not going to lie, I was afraid the ending would have felt a bit rushed, I had my reservation when I realised that there was going to be only 6 volumes, but it was actually the perfect length. I still have my issues with the use of certain words, but this last volume kind of redeemed that with the overall great message. I truly enjoyed every single volume, I would definitely recommend trying this series out!
