This was such a sweet piece! I enjoyed the first part, and when the setting changed and the second "arc" of the story started I got so engrossed into it, couldn't stop reading! 
It's a 4.75 for me because the beginning was a little bit too slow and the ending was a bit too "smooth" for my taste, not enough emphasis on key moments and too "easy", but overall the pacing was on point, the characters were quite likeable, and there were some truly magical moments.
I will probably check other works by this author.
