This was not romantic so if you are looking for romance, move along. I did not find their "relationship" to be a good one. I think they worked better as buddies. Olivia needs to grow up. I have no idea how she made it through law school with a mind like that. She does not come across as bright. I know she wants to be a comedian but girl, work with me here. You need to get your life together and maybe realize comedy just ain't for you. Too basic. I did not care for the ridiculous amount of name drops in the book. It is as if the author wanted to show that she did her research and name dropped every popular comedian ever. Ever. I am not a comedian, but does that run through their heads that much? Do comedians talk about other comedians that much??? Like, I was in this girls' head for two weeks.... is that all that runs through her head all 52 weeks a year??? No wonder she sucked at her job. 

I found there were subtle references to various things throughout the book. I thought that was cute. There were a ton of Seinfield references that I am sure flew over my head. I never watched the show so I felt like I was third wheeling it every time they mentioned the show. That happened a lot. 

Like I said, it was not a romance. It was a buddy story with one of the worst hook up scenes ever. Why in the world would you include that in the book????? Also, I thought it was super gross that the MMC was a smoker. And not an occasional smoker, but a straight up chain smoker. A cross country trip in a car with someone who smokes, when you can't stand the smell.... ugh.
