The beginning almost broke my heart when Griffin learned the truth about Cat being the lost princess and Beta Fisa. I almost threw my book when he said, "I can't be with you". I understood because he just found out the love of his life was the daughter of his biggest enemy. I definitely thought that most of this book was going to be them finding their way back to each other. I was so pleasantly surprised when he burst into her room at the barracks upset thinking she had run away and left him because he still loved her but just needed time.

In the cave scene, I was so gutted when we saw how heartbroken Kato was when he thought Cat had died. He was ready to die there to be with her, so she never had to be alone again. I loved seeing their bond grow as chosen siblings. Cat never had a healthy relationship with her siblings considering they all killed each other. So, to see her find someone who protects her the way a big brother should was so heartwarming.

I loved the wedding scene. In most books the main characters get married at the end of the story. So, I love that we get to see a lot of Cat and Griffin as husband and wife.

The Agnon Games! Ahh Cat can now mind control animals. She just keeps getting more powerful and I love it! Also, what a bad ass Jacosta is. I love how this girl who has never fought a day in her life, decides that she needs to do her part and be there for her family. I was really worried she would die or get someone else killed. I started crying when I thought Carver had died, he is such a loveable character and I want him to have the world. I really hope he finds love again. 

Then after winning the brutal Agnon Games, the group goes to Tarva Castle as guests. Which quickly takes a turn and becomes another fight scene. Cerberus comes to the rescue and the team demolishes the Tarvan family. And Cat has now found one of her last surviving siblings, Ianthe, who comes to Cat's aid during the fight. I know how broken Cat was when Eleni died, so I hope these 2 are able to form a sisterly bond.

CAT IS PREGNANT!! Ahh, I love this so much. I hope we get a sequel series about her daughter Eleni and whatever powers she is going to have.

Overall, this was an amazing book, and I cannot wait to read the final book in the trilogy.
