Good conclusion to a fun story, great read for the recommended age group!

Third and last book of the Trylle trilogy. I think Wendy Everly has finally matured, although I cant believe it took three books for me to be satisfied with her attitude. She sacrifices personal pleasure for the greater good *applause* and she is finally in training to be the Queen. Love the ending, love how the story turned out.

** spoiler alert ** I mean...I'm not quite sure how I felt about this book. I'm not gonna lie I was totally rooting for Wendy to choose Finn the whole time although Loki has grown on me a little bit. I was really upset when Elora died, she and Wendy were finally at a good place in their relationship! Overall though I think the ending happened to quickly, sure the point was to surprise the Vittra and kill Oren, but just the way it happened felt almost too easy to me. I did really really really love this series and I plan on rereading sometime in the future, maybe with some different thoughts. Also, I can't wait to read the Kanin Chronicles!!

Finally! There was societal change. I can't tell you how many books I've read where NOTHING had changed society wise at the end. I mean, sure, it wasn't fixed. It wasn't perfect. But it had changed. I still really like Wendy. She has some really terrible ideas sometimes, but she's able to listen to those around her she trusts in order to make it a better idea. Her plans don't always go her way, but she's able to adapt for the next plan. The love shape worked it's way out. Honestly I wasn't completely sure how it was going to go between Wendy/Tove/Loki/Finn. I mean, I was pretty sure she wouldn't end up with Tove even though they were married but between Loki and Finn it was kind of coin flip for me. I will say, I agree with where everyone ended up. In the book set I bought there was a bonus short story at the end called "Ever After" that was a look at the group a year and a half later. It was happy, and bright, and super cute. I liked this book, I loved this series. I'm probably going to start the Kanin Chronicles tonight. I really enjoy Amanda's writing. Some things are predictable, some are not. Some times I think I know what's going to happen and I'm wrong. The final battle was a bit anti-climactic but other than that I really enjoyed it. Mostly for the society changed. And a lot for Wendy's relationship with the boy who wins her heart.

REALLY?! REALLY AMANDA HOCKING?! Why did you do it? Why did she have to end up with Loki?! Wendy and Finn...and the bedroom scene...and...and...WHYYYYYYYYYYYY? When I came to the part where Finn was in her room giving her that damn birthday present and telling her that she is his for that one night I was just fangirling really hard, you know? It was the final moment of victory. The part I have been waiting for for two damn books. I was jumping and screaming like a little girl... only to find out that I couldn't have been more disappointed. And for the rest of the book I was just like this And then she gives the exact same offer that she didn't want to give Finn...to Loki. And gets pregnant.

I loved the last book of the Trylle trilogy. Great story, beautiful plot and I'm willing to read it all over again!

Honestly it wasn't that bad of a series. It felt a bit rushed and possibly the shortest book? Or perhaps it just felt that way. The final battle with Wendy and Oren was completely rushed and I hated it. Plus who she ultimately decides to be with was upsetting because I was rooting for the to other guy. Even though I understand her reasoning, I still didn't like it.
