When Hadley not only inherits a lighthouse from her grandmother she didn't know existed, but it is also on a remote island she has never heard of, you know an interesting story is about to ensue. 

The first person that Hadley gets to know on the island is Booker. Booker tells her that the island is not what it first appears to be. Once Hadley gets settled into the lighthouse and begins to wander around, she meets Lilac ( her real name) and gets a personal walking tour. It is obvious from the beginning that there is something different about this island that Hadley is not quite ready to learn. 

One of the things that I didn't love about this book is how quickly the romantic angle with Galan happened. I can get behind an immediate attraction, however, I feel this short romance was not done as well as it could have been. There was not a build-up of emotions, and they jumped into having sleepovers, no sex included, very quickly. 

Once it is known who is killing the elder ladies on the island, I felt that the ending was a bit confusing on the justice side of how things are done on the island. 

Overall, I liked this book. I think the murder was a bit obvious but a few plot devices were used to throw the reader off that trail.
