Gentlemen," Principal Nova purred as she gave me a little shove so that I was forced to stand before them like a sacrificial offering. "These are the Celestial Heirs," she explained to me and Darcy, naming them from left to right. "Max Rigel," (the dark skinned demi-god). "Caleb Altair," (the blonde haired beaux next door), "Darius Acrux," (my sin- illed fantasy). “And Seth Capella," (the long haired lothario). This is Gwendalina and Roxanya Vega-"

I’m just like youuu, you’re just like meee

I like facts. I'm a Sagittarius which helps; we love learning new things and are usually pretty intelligent," she replied with a smirk.

Sophia

Before I could, Caleb dropped down, straddling me with a wicked grin which revealed his lengthening canines.

“Oh for the love of god,” I snarled as I slammed my palms into his chest. “You’d better not be about to-”

“I'm Professor Canis.” She leaned in close to Tory, breathing in deeply. “Don't be shy,” she said as Tory flinched away.

“I'm not shy, you're just so far beyond my personal boundaries right now I can't even see them anymore.”

SCREAMING (I knew that) (he is still an ass)

(how old is he???? if he's below 30 maybe it doesn't count)

“Do you want me and my sister dead?” I pinned him with my hardest, most unwavering stare. For Tory. For me. I had to hear his answer, even if it was a lie.

His eyes softened, running over my face with the faintest of frowns. “No, Blue. I don't.”

Lexi Vazquez

"If you come to my room uninvited again then it had better be because you're ready to bow to us or to beg me to bend you over that headboard and make you scream my name.”

Hmmm so im a bit unsure of what to make of this series, I do really appreciate the magic system it's easy to understand and I've not read anything like it before however I think it's unclear WHO this is written for. The wording used is quite childish even though there are mature themes thrughout the book.
The heirs are totally horrendous and every time there's a spark of redemption that somehow turn around and becomes something pure evil. Which isn't my cup of tea. Bully romance could be nice when it's done right and this just isn't.

For the moment I will continue the books since I'm listening to the audiobooks and most people praise this series, would've DNFed if I read the physical copy no doubt!
Hoping it gets better!!!!

You have been selected to attend Zodiac Academy, where your star sign defines your destiny. If you're one of the Fae, elemental magic is in your blood. And apparently it's in ours. As twins born in the month of Gemini, we're a rare breed even in this academy of supernatural a-holes.Changelings were outlawed hundreds of years ago but I guess our birth parents didn't get the memo. Which means we're totally unprepared for the ruthless world of Fae.Air. Fire. Water. Earth. No one has ever harnessed all four of them, until we arrived. And it hasn't made us any friends so far.As the rarest Elementals ever known, we're already a threat to the four celestial heirs; the popular, vindictive bullies who happen to be some of the hottest guys we've ever seen. It doesn't help that they're the most dangerous beasts in the Academy. And probably on earth too.Our fates are intertwined, but they want us gone. They've only got until the lunar eclipse to force us out and they'll stop at nothing to succeed. We never knew we had a birthright to live up to but now that we do, we intend to claim our throne. We can't expect any help from the faculty when it comes to defending ourselves. So if the dragon shifters want some target practice, the werewolves want someone to hunt or the vampires fancy a snack then we have to be ready. But we've been looking after each other for a long time and fighting back is in our blood.Today's horoscope: totally screwed. This is a full-length medium burn novel that is the first in a university-age academy series. Expect forbidden teacher romance and bully romance with mature content suitable for upper YA readers and onwards.

Definitely more new adult but a good read. This first one focused on introducing the world, the system, and the main characters.

am i cracking the spine on the second book as i write this? yes.

Emilia Vulliamy

is it “good literature”? no.

First book in the 12 book series and so far I’m enjoying it. I love fantasy and always enjoyed astrology on the zodiac so combining these two things was a yes for me ☺️😌.

If you’re looking for quality writing and a plot that makes sense this book is not for you.😵‍💫 The two FMC are so gullible it hurts to read their decision making. I’m all for some trash reading every now and then but I won’t be reading 8 books worth of it….

Sydney Cantwell

fire plot but damn the writing is hard to get past

Literally finished in 2 days but the writing was kinda meh at times and very teenage-ish

I wanted to like this book… but I just couldn’t.

Let me rant for a moment. Darcy and Tori had the potential to be really interesting characters. Being kids that were in the foster care system, losing their parents when they were little, then finding out they were actually changelings and were the heir to the throne.

I feel like this book was a cash grab. Minimal world building, minimal relationships and things to root for, and worst of all I’ve seen no character development throughout this first book.

Everyone except for two people in this book were absolutely awful to the main characters. Constantly being humiliated and shamed in front of their peers is not something I want to read. Additionally, the main characters had nothing good happen to them this entire book.

Now let me talk about Tori and Darcy. They are twins and I don’t know which is which. Them constant saying this one has blue hair. That doesn’t help me differentiate between two characters who are literally ink on page.

Lastly, Tori and Darcy are extremely overpowered for not being able to do anything with their power. I understand that being overpowered can make things interesting but in this case it’s just frustrating.

Also what is the deal with everyone constantly undressing like if I was in their place I would’ve said nope and walked away.

So I can understand now why when you jump in you won’t want to stop. Now while this isn’t the greatest writing in the world the storyline is really interesting. This first book is a lot of building and some confusion since the main characters are thrown into a world that everyone else around them are used to. At this point I don’t know who to like who to hate but I’m really intrigued to see where we go from here.

absolute hogwash

What in holy hell is this book???? I’m not a fan of bully romance and after this book I know for sure it’s not for me. The “Twisted Sisters” as the authors call themselves literally threw Every. Single. Fantastical element into this story and made the world and the magic system so unwieldy and confusing that one barely knows what’s going on. Solaria is a completely different world but the authors say it’s copy paste of earth just with fae??? It’s giving lazy especially with all the pop culture references and things like hatchbacks and sports cars - completely takes you out of this world. Time moves at a glacial pace - this book literally only spans A WEEK. The twins are naive and foolish and the main reason they get caught up in trouble all the time. The action finally picks up in the last hour and a half which is why I gave it a full star.

Not one of my favourite books, but it's ok. The way it's written give me the impression of a wattpad fanfic from 2016, but the plot it's ok.

The book was pretty boring in the beginning making me question myself if I want to continue reading it or not, couldn't go past the way was written pretty easy, but I think almost through the ending it start to get interesting.

Has a lot of cringe parts ( my opinion) and the dialogue isn't so interesting sometimes.

How I said, through the end it gets interesting and it make me wanted to continue with the next book.

I finished it in a day. That says it all. But… the bullying part was just pissing me off and annoying, but yet i get it somehow.

For this part, i totally despise the heirs especially seth. But i’m curious to know the next part. Please just don’t get worse. Cause right now i’m fuming with the whole bullying part and you go orion!

(I can’t trust anyone)

This took me quite a while to get into but I definitely became more interested in the plot as the book carried on. I can see why some people don’t like the bullying aspect of this book and at times it was highly unrealistic that they would feel anything but hatred for the heirs who are full on trying to kill them

This book gave me throne of glass vibes in the sense of the first book is more just about setting up the characters and I’m excited to read on in this series. This book was really just showing how dangerous the heirs are and setting up the characters of the twins, I’m hoping the next book gets further into the plot

At the moment there isn’t a clear MMC, and the love interest could be any of the 5 main male characters although I am liking Orion at the moment

Fun idea - not my fave writing - it felt a bit repetitive but it was fun nonetheless & now I just want to know whose the villain so I’ll be continuing.

Was the writing very good? No. Did I like that they had Werewolves, Vampires and Sirens and god knows what else? Also no. But was it fun? Yes.

THANK GOD they kept their names because Roxanya and Gwendalina or whatever it was is CRIMINAL💀 that should be considered child abuse lol (not that they care since they got rid of them anyways)

I'm not sure how I feel about Orion so far. Like the fact that he kept looking at Darcy a certain way was a bit icky to me. And his manhandeling in the beginning was so annoying and just wrong. Idc if it's within his Fae powers or some weird professor complex or if he's just an asshole but that wasn't okay. The weird comment about humans being less was racist af, too. It reminded me of when I was young and kids in my class kept making fun of someone with autism. Which is of course not the case here, but the blatent "no powers, no worth" was astonishing. The commands in class were humiliating and I will not forgive him any time soon. He can fuck off.

Although he did redeem himself a little near the end. (I am well aware I will probably ship him with Darcy soon if the author doesn't pull a plottwist) Whereas Darius and the rest only got worse with time.

The bullying in general was DISGUSTING. I refuse to ship them with ANYONE. Darius and all the others as well were horrible which I won't forget. There's simply no excuse. They don't deserve a single ounce of trust from the twins and I desperately hope they won't become friends because it was DEHUMANIZING AND PURE EVIL. There needs to happen A LOT of trust falls before they should ever even think about forgiving and/or trusting them.

Especially the pool in the end. Like what the fuck. I had hopes Darius would pull a Rowan and be only bad at the start but so far he would have to safe her life 10 times for me to even consider forgiving him. As of Max and Seth, they deserve to burn in hell. Caleb's fate is out for discussion because he seems to care a bit but he definitely has no butterflies in his one either. Not helping is giving nothing and it's just lame to feel bad afterwards if you watched it happen. Cry me a river.

Also I just know Darius will pull an Aaron Warner and be by some miracle a "good" person deep down but that honestly sucks. Like I was open to the idea of shipping him and Tory but he has to save her life like 20 times before I will even consider it💀 If he gets worse than that's off the table forever.

I'm a Gemini. Impulsive. Curious. Headstrong. A twin. Heir to a throne I know nothing about. And it turns out, I'm Fae. But of course there's a catch - all I have to do to claim my birth right is prove that I'm the most powerful supernatural in the whole of Solaria. And sure, technically that's true as I'm the daughter of the Savage King. But the bit they didn't put in the brochure was that every single Fae in this Kingdom would claim my throne if they could. The school they've sent me to is both dangerous as sh*t and one helluva party. Vampires bite weaker students in the corridors, the Werewolf pack has orgies in the Wailing Wood at every full moon and don't even get me started on the dark and twisted ways the Sirens use their powers on people's emotions, or how my sinfully tempting Cardinal Magic teacher hosts detentions that leave people needing therapy. Classes are totally interesting if you manage to live through them. And that Gemini star sign I mentioned? It now determines my elemental magic and affects my destiny, so learning astrology is essential if I'm going to beat down my classmates - which is actively encouraged by the way. My biggest problem is the drool worthy Dragon shifter who has his eyes on my throne. He and his three psycho friends are determined to make my time here hell. All I've got to do is survive. But fate might have other ideas. Dammit, why couldn't I have gotten a letter to Hogwarts?

millena

sounds ironic how I hated a bully romance bc of the bullying but this time my curiosity won 💀

yes the writing is awful, yes it is a winx fanfic adult’s version BUT it was kinda entertaining and I couldn’t put it down so the two stars go for that

tbh I had even forgiven everything that had happened UNTIL that end. I felt personally betrayed and idk how (if I keep reading) I'll be able to ship Tory and Darius

final observations: I love Orion and I hate the word FaeBook

big ab

so… it got better? but also it did not… i don’t know how to feel.. felt like A LOT of really traumatic bullying and harassment and torture for no reason? i have questions. i hope they get answered in the next book. i promised i would read the first 3 books.
