This one is so dark and steamy! I've read other Hades & Persephone retellings before, but nothing like this. I fell so deeply for Hades! This was my first Amelia Wilde read and I'm aching for more.

I waited for the 3 books to come out and it was so worth it, I loved reading Hades and Persephone’s story in one sitting. The story was exactly as I expected, full of drama, twisted things and steamy scenes. I love dark and forbidden romances and this being a retelling made it a 100% better. Persephone always lived under her mother’s shadow, totally protected from the world and with a little contact with people until she tries to escape and she gets thrown into a world of passion, desire and punishment. Hades waited a lot to have Persephone and throughout the story we can know more about his past with his siblings and why he’s so interested in her. He’s definitely my favorite of the siblings, I still don’t read their stories but now he’s at the top list. I loved how much he cared about Conor and how despite living almost secluded he still cared about the people who lived in the mountains with him. I loved Hades and Persephone moments since the beginning, he always knew what he wanted and she just needed to break free from her mother’s rules and understand what she wanted and desired. Their story is very steamy, at first she tried to fight her feelings but it was obvious how much chemistry they had. I loved how Hades didn’t know much about love before Persephone but he knew she deserved to be loved and he did everything so she could have a better life that what they both went through in the past. They both changed a lot in the 3 books and I really enjoyed their banter and how they took care of each other. Now I hope to read soon Zeus’s story and see more about him and his story.
