Jumping right back into the thick of things, Hostile Takeover really took me by surprise. Mason and Charlotte’s connection to one another is emotional, steamy and explosive. I completely forgot that the chokehold that Mason had me under when I was reading the first book. The second I picked up this book I knew I was done for. I don’t want to go into too much detail about what happened in the book since you definitely need to read book one first, just know that this book is totally worth the read. You can tell, no matter how grumpy he is about it, that Mason really loves his family and he certainly cares for Charlotte. And Charlotte is just the same. Though much more sweet, Charlotte would do absolutely anything for her family no matter how much it hurt her. This book was such a great read. Very easy to get into, quick to understand and absolutely addictive. And that ending? I definitely was not expecting that.
