I didn't want to put it down. Have you ever hated a character so much you end up actually really loving them? Well let me introduce you to Mason Hill. Mason is such a big jerk. He’s moody, mysterious, cold, calculated and I just can't help but love him. He’s the perfect anti-hero. And our sweet, sweet Charlotte Van Kemp. She’s so sweet, naive, determined, and sassy. Oh, how I loved her. I totally connected with her in all the ways and could feel everything she was going through. They have such great chemistry and it often felt so intense, I didn't know if I would be able to make it. There are so many layers to this story and going chapter by chapter revealing little clues here and there really kept my mind going in a million different directions. The intensity, mystery and drama made this book unforgettable. I cannot wait to see where this story goes. I have some suspicions, but who knows, Amelia always does such a great job at surprising me! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Revenge angsty plot with age-gap romance was all I needed to know to finally pick up a book by @awilderomance ! Mason, the brooding, alpha anti-hero is looking to exact revenge and Charlotte is the perfect victim, all sweet and innocent. The bargain? Her body to save her family. "I want to destroy Charlotte Van Kempt. I want to break her in every way there is under the sun. I want to put her back together afterward and break her again." This was a hot book! I actually had to stop every once in a while. Me. Stopping a steamy book. Unheard of, I know. The angst in this man, the push & pull of romance and hate, passion and frustration fuels you throughout the entire story!

This book was a bit on the addicting side, but also… conflicting? I think it also has to do with the fact that I went in expecting an HEA, only to find out it continues on a second book. I still need to come to terms with this book, but initial rating is 3 stars.
