Reviews

I received an eARC in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Well, well, well. Where do I begin? Because honestly, I have no clue where to start. As Gwen Stefani once said “This shit is bananas.” This book was freaking crazy. Not only did I go through a range of emotions, but also constant outburst of me saying “What the actual fuck?!” This book was great, I mean I truly don’t wanna say too much about this book because I don’t wanna give anything away but, I feel like this is one of those books where you shouldn’t read the reviews for it and just kind of go in blindly. As long as you read the author's trigger warning at the beginning. Because you should absolutely listen to it. I’m NOT joking about that either. Read it and then read it again to make sure you’d be open to reading about them all. Amo does not by any means hold back. Every single one of these characters in this book is toxic as hell and absolutely crazy! This book is 100% in a league of its own and truly unlike any other “dark romance book” I’ve ever read. This book is by no means perfect in any way. There were parts of it that I didn’t particularly care for or that felt like they didn’t need to be in there. But overall I really enjoyed this book. It absolutely pushed me out of my comfort zone, and that’s saying something since I really don’t have a comfort zone when it comes to dark romance books. I’m usually game for anything. However this book definitely tested my limits. Also that ending?!?!! Really Amo? I’m mad at you. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

When Amo said she was writing her darkest book, I was intrigued! She succeeded in delivering a twisted and messed up story that I couldn’t help but keep reading! “I may be the Antichrist, but you’re definitely my holy grail.” Meraki and Niko are two dark characters, anti-heroine and villain through and through. They don’t have cute moments; they’re toxic and they push each other to the brink, they test the limits to see how far they can go. I loved the dynamic they had, even if it sent my mind down the rabbit hole. “This kind of love doesn’t die out, it burns.” Their background as once upon a time being best friends added to their relationship and the fire and intensity they had! But man, I was questioning their motives left and right. For half of the book, I had no idea what was happening, and that’s how it should be experience: completely blind, so you can dive into the mind-f*ckery you’ll get with this book. ✨ READ IF YOU LIKE ✨ - frenemies to lovers - childhood best friends - sharing (not between the two mc’s) - motorcycle club - alphahole male - blood-knife play - breath play - hot and kinky - thriller-dark romance - mindfuckery plot twists - dubious consent

Stars: 5 Spice: 3 Amo really knows how to write a mindf*ck! Wow. I really loved this book. There were so many twists and turns, at any given moment you have no idea what’s really going on. Some people may not care for that, and that’s fair. But personally, I love a book that makes me question everything! Meraki and Niko have a pretty toxic relationship for a majority of the book. They are the kind of couple that just can’t keep from gravitating back to each other. Like a moth to a flame, they both will always (although not always at the same time) find themselves in the other’s orbit. The first half of the book is a slower build up, giving you small details and background. Once you hit 50% though… wow the sh*t hits the fan. From here on it’s twists and turns until *that* ending. Amo left a ton open for interpretation with the ending, but clues can certainly be found throughout the book. All in all - this was a wild ride that I will certainly not stop thinking about for a long time! Excited to see some more in this world! Please check triggers before reading - this book has a ton of them.

this book is twisted, dark, and everything Amo. It takes you uncontrollably out of your comfort zone, to the point where you say out loud WTF. I was not expecting some of it but loved it all the same! Some of Amos’ best work was written in this book. Definitely read the TWs in the beginning so you are not thrown off when something happens. She has a beautifully unique way of realing you in with the twist and dark turn you take through your emotions in this book. i rated it a 4/5 because I did not feel as emotionally invested in these characters as I normally do in her other books. I was more into just the story line which is not bad. The story is beautifully written and I finished it in a single sitting

“I ain’t got time to love you, baby.” He snatched the joint from my fingers. “I’m too busy keeping your ass out of trouble.” Once again she has fucked me up, in the best way possible. The amount of twists and turns in the book is unreal. If you’ve read anything by Amo before you know she isn’t just going to open up and give you answers. She’ll drop info piece by piece, CRUMB by freaking CRUMB, and you still need to be paying really close attention to figure it all out, but that’s why her books are amazing. I’m not sure if there is a record for changing your opinion about someone but I swear Niko made me break it. Loved him, mad at him, swooned over him, annoyed with him, ultimately loved him though 😍 Meraki, that girl is really put through it every step of the way by literally every single person in this book. I was so mad at everyone for her. Tough as nails though absolutely no doubt about it. THAT ENDING THOUGH!?! That is all I will say about that.

This is one of those books that’s hard review right away. You sit there and you try to form your thoughts into words but they’re as tumultuous as this story. I do know that Amo has yet again written a book that’s left me speechless. That’s she’s created a world and characters that no one else could and that’s why I love her writing. I’ll never forget Meraki and Niko. I’m pretty positive they’ll haunt me in my sleep but I’ll ask them to stay. You feel unsettled but you want more. You feel hollow yet energized. I don’t know how she does it but she fucking does it. Every. Time. And as soon as I was finished- I wanted to read it all over again.

I FINALLY FINISHED THIS BOOK. Why did it take me so long? Well, life… and it was rough to get into. But really though, more life. CHECK THE TRIGGERS PLEASE The book has a strange way of telling you the story. It goes from past to present and even though it tells you when it’s the past or present, you still get lost. The characters are super complex, they have very intense personalities and minds. And how they act or operate, it’s super hard to figure out. You think you’ve gotten to know them and then BOOM, a total change of mindset. And yeah, I get that characters evolve but not that much from one chapter to another. Now the tension and chemistry between Meraki and Niko… even as kids it’s something you can feel. You read it and you know there’s this type of bomb, all-consuming, fire like love. And when they grow up, wow. It’s dark, twisted, and INTENSE. I loved reading their spice scenes cause of the intensity and yes, obviously, it was super hot and dark too. There are lots of plot twists, I usually love them but here it was a bit too much. And with that ending… I don’t know. It made me change my initial rating.

Check TW. This was dark and intense, but I enjoyed the ride. MCs, Mafias, strong and dark characters. I would definitely recommend.

Chaotic and messy, Antichrist takes you on a crazy wild ride of plot twists that will leave your mind reeling. When Amo said she was writing her darkest book, I was intrigued!
