Another charming, creepy, dismal, beautiful collection of Edward Gorey. I love them all. My favorite story in this one is The Iron Tonic, closely followed by The Osbick Bird.

A latest collection of illustrations by the late Tony Award-winning designer best known for his animated sequences introducing the PBS Mystery! series includes previously uncollected works, as well as two unpublished stories, "The Izzard Book" and "La Malle Saignante."

"The Haunted Tea-Cosy" is a must-read holiday tale, recounting the visit of a trio of subfuse but transparent personages, guided by the Bahhum Bug. And the rest of it is amusing, as well.

Edward Gorey is always a delight. My favorite in this collection is the Epiplectic Bicycle.

Edward Gorey’s style of writing and illustration is my kind of dark. I love how bizarre and haunting his works are. This collection is perfect to be read on Halloween. It’s short but surely will make you creeped out. 

His stories sometimes starts very slowly and suddenly BAM! It hit you surprisingly at the end. Like you won’t guess that the way that it ended could be that bizarre. All you know something bad is going to happen. In this collection though the stories are not all BAM! But what amaze me is that how small and simple but not so harmful can bugged you A LOT and make you feel uncomfortable.

I am a fan of Edward Gorey and will read more of his works :)
