This book is jam packed with insightful, eye-opening (quite literally), mind expanding, and gut punching information. There is so much this book covers that it's kind of hard to even summarize it well or say what I did or did not like. 

I've studied Art History before, so perhaps it might come as no surprise why I liked it. It was more rich than just Art History it opens a lens on how to observe, how to be more objective, and how to see what you might be missing. 

I love the portion on COBRA. When solving a problem as yourself: What's Camouflaged, One thing at a time (don't multi-task), take a Break, Realign your expectations, and Ask for help from others. Such a great way to get insight into problems. 

Another what to put it was to look at John Singleton Copley's painting titled "Mrs. John Winthrop". The painting is of a woman seated at a table, which the author points out many often miss. The catchphrase is, "What are your mahogany tables?" I loved this idea, it puts a vision to what is so often something we miss as humans, we simple edit, or don't take enough time to notice what's right in front of it that might be important. 

The author makes so many good points about how observing your surroundings can save your life and change your life, such as attackers mistaken for police in a mall shooting. Realizing that the pillar is hollow and not solid, so it wasn't a safe place to avoid bullets. The quantity of little details and tidbits in this book was such a surprise. I picked it up by happenstance in B&N and I'm glad that I did. I learned a lot and it'll certainly stick with me.
