I thought this book was going to be a joke, but she's super serious about how to have a great time with your friends. Can't believe how much she cooks! Literally gives the recipe for spanakopita like it's something normal people make all the time. Also, I love how judgmental she is about types of guests, giving great categories that are actually useful for balancing out personalities at a dinner party.

This started out funny and some of the recipes I will try. But it got kind of weird and not funny. It seemed like some of it was supposed to be funny, but just fell awkwardly flat.

This book had several laugh-out moments. It is rather hard to know how to interpret the book - if you get stuck on thinking you must interpret it. And I guess maybe I am stuck on it since that is how I'm writing the review. Is it a book of humor? Is it an entertainment guide? A cookbook? All these things? Yes. I guess it is. Each of these and all of these. It was a fun read and I've made note of some recipes - but not so much the accoutrement that go along with them.
