one of m favorite books of the year, I really enjoyed the format and the audio version was amazing
Elle was quite annoying at times but overall a great read

Loved the first 3/4ths of this. Towards the end as things unfolded I found some things didn't feel as satisfying as I'd wished them to be but ultimately the book was quite good and the things I found less satisfying were few. Also, the last half of the last chapter highlighted the overall message in a clear way, which I thought was important and necessary. Overall, a good read.

YES, YES, YES! Everyone stop what you're doing and start reading this book right now (especially if you're a fan of true crime podcasts and ID shows like I am). Girl, 11 drew me in from the beginning and there was no way I was going to stop until I too discovered who TCK really was. I really appreciated the family aspect of the story as well. Elle is a force of nature. Sure, she makes some mistakes and gets herself into some sticky situations, but she's doing it for the good of families, and young women, everywhere. I really hope this isn't the end of Elle's story and hope Amy Suiter Clarke continues this story.

I went to school where the author was born and I love true crime podcasts so I knew that I had to grab this book. At first it felt like an adult version of Sadie, which I loved. But yeah the last bit was so unrealistic with the 10 year old and her actions and the twist was pretty easy-going to spot. It was a a fine book but I think it could have been better with the last quarter of the book reworked

The mystery is intriguing, but I stopped reading on page 129 because of stereotyped characters and the sneering tone towards some of them. It might not bother other people, but I personally cannot stand it when authors clobber me over the head with their politics. I am really disappointed, because I was very interested in the mystery.
