A Play in Three Acts

LOVEDDDD THIS! A classic! Loved reading it for my GCSEs - really stuck with me and still think about it now years later 

An unsuspecting read packed with excitement and twists. Although barely any of the characters are likeable, you can't help but feel bad as their world unravels at the hands of an almost phantom-like inspector.

An interesting story, with not that many twists and turns in the plot. Rather predictable but a nice easy read.

How anyone could see, read or listen to this play and not feel utterly touched I could never understand. This play is my favourite play/book/audiobook of all time. I’ve seen as read it many times, and every time I still feel like I’ve learnt so much and feel so humbled! Wether inspector or a spector, he can teach us all how our actions, however we think is insignificant, could start a chain reaction with others actions and make such a massive impact on someone! Truly beautiful. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have to read this for my English Literature GCSE and we are rereading for our mocks next month so that’s great. I like analysing it cause I get to go all feminist ;) but not one of my FAVOURITES like Macbeth but not my least favourite like Jekyll and Hyde

My GCSEs are coming up soon, and I was told that this play may be included. I remember a few people saying how much they loved this book and my school had a spare copy so I thought I may as well give it a read.

Wow. I didn't really look into the synopsis of this before I read it, and I'm kind of glad I didn't. The story unfolded so beautifully, and the Inspector's questions kept me gripped throughout the whole play. I was just desperate to know what had happened!

This is a pretty unique book in the way that they all talk about what happened in the past. Basically, a police inspector arrives and begins asking the group about a girl who has apparently committed suicide. None of them know her at first, until the inspector reminds them of the nasty things that they had each done to her. Slowly, we learn of the girl's life and put together all the pieces from each person's story.

This really is a great book! Honestly, I'm not much interested in plays and scripts, but this was just such a great read. It really makes you think about how your actions and words may affect someone in the long-run, and how much of an impact you can have on a stranger's life.

I sped through most of this in one evening. It is a short book, but the main reason I read it so fast is just because it was so very gripping and interesting. This is definitely a new favourite of mine; 5 stars!

First read this play for school and honestly love it now as much as I loved it then. The whole plot is amazing and there is so much to learn from each of the characters!
The inspectors last speech is one of the greatest things and the book and the cliff hangers ,especially the last one, really get you thinking

I had to read this for school and I hated it. The characters are so one sided and I just find the entire play pointless. Sure priestly achieved what he wanted, and he got across the message of socialism vs capitalism, social responsibility and etc. But it was so dull and uninspiring and just made me angry frankly. I don’t understand why anyone would willingly want to read it.
