5/5 stars ☆ Well it seems like Miss Huang did it again… wow, just wow. from someone who absolutely loved and is obsessed with the twisted series , this one is even better if that is even possible. we get some of my absolute favorites tropes in this one which are: arranged marriage, hate to love and forced proximity! such a well written and sexy book, this one is heading straight to my favorites. oh, and Dante Russo? *swoon*

I was excited to read this book, but I have to be honest I thought it would have more…substance. It’s definitely an enjoyable read full of cute, soft scenes balanced with equal spice. I wouldn’t exactly call it enemies to lovers, but I love a good arranged marriage x billionaire trope. Dante Russo, the love interest, fell a little short of my expectations. He’s a classic swaggering Italian billionaire with a penchant for scowling. Vivian Lau, on the other hand, is an optimistic, rags-to-riches nouveau-riche heiress. Of course we had the build up, the downfall, the reconciliation etc etc, but it was a bit too predictable. I couldn’t quite make sense of Vivian’s thought patterns, her hot and cold differing opinions of both her family and Dante. Dante was lukewarm as a character: he was meant to come off as possessive and “touch her and you die” trope-y, but always at some kind of middle ground. He never fully got there- I would’ve liked to have seen him as a character fully committed. As far as the writing style goes, there was a lot of juxtaposition going on. Like, a lot. Don’t get me wrong, they were good juxtapositions. But at some point it got to be almost too much, the kind of point where you start to really notice that it’s constant. That being said, King of Wrath is still a swoon worthy romance with plenty of scenes that’ll make you smile…or sweat, depending on the chapter 😉

3.5/5 Italians aren't real, that's why real life Dante's don't exist.

My first Ana Huang book and I was not disappointed. This was such a good story and I absolutely loved the plot. Grumpy-sunshine for the win! Dante was so hot and I adored Vivian. The groveling was lovely, not too much (tho there can never be too much of a man begging on his knees) not too little. I loved it so much and the drama and spice kept you completely wrapped in. I only stopped reading because I had to work! Can’t wait for Isabella and Kai’s story!!

AMAZING!!!!! This is absolutely my favourite book of Ana which I honestly thought it was gonna be hard to top of after Twisted Lies. Their dynamic had me hooked from the first page all the way to the bonus content! I love to see diversity in these books which also helps me learn a bit more about other cultures. I loved seeing that one scene from Twisted Lies here from Vivian and Dante's perspective 👀 and Christian ending up being Dante's groomsman was so funny to me but it made sense. I am hoping to see hopefully other three twisted couples in upcoming books, which speaking of, I cannot wait to see what dynamic Isabelle and Kai will have 🤭 it's gonna be a sight to see definitely. 100/10.
