Honestly if Ana Huang writes it, I’ll be reading it. I really enjoyed this book and having a sports romance book with the forbidden aspect of falling for your rival’s sister is one I really like but can never find ones I really enjoy. Now it was a little long but it didn’t affect my reading experience too much. I think the audio assisted a lot with that and it being a duet narration was the cherry on top. I’m so excited to see where this series goes.

Highlights

"My whole life, I focused on football and winning. That was it…Then you came along and shattered every preconception I had of who I was and what I wanted. You made me reevaluate my life and want to be a better person—not just for you but for me."

Some days, it was a struggle just to get out of bed. I was constantly at war with my body, my emotions, and everything that should've been on my side but wasn't.

I‘d lived in a form of stasis since my accident. Asher had shaken it up and forced me outside my comfort zone, but there was still a part of me that resisted it because I didn’t want to grow. The status quo was stagnation, but it was also predictable. Safe. And that part of me was clinging to the spindly branches of a long-dead tree instead of embracing the seeds of a new beginning.

If we think we’re perfect and there's nothing we can improve on, we'll never grow. If there's no growth, we stagnate. And greatness doesn't come from stagnation; it comes from progress.

Hi, darling.
The only words that always made me feel like I was coming home.
