it was okay I guess. I did have a good time reading it. But I’m just so over smut y’all I can’t😃 2.5 stars

The book was just kinda meh to me. The story line was okay and did not like the male main character Alex.

So good! I really enjoyed this book, it was well written and kept me entertained. Towards the middle-end it was a little slow but then it quickly picked back up and gained my interest again. I was contemplating on even reading the book to begin with, I’m glad that I did. I can’t wait to continue on with the series.

okay so i’m just going to keep my review simple because i’m too lasy to write a full and complete review. this book was good. it’s really good, i mean it’s grumpy x sunshine also it’s a brother’s best friend. i love the plot of this story love how the plot going from this to this. the plot twist really got my jaw hanging for twenty minutes. i just love this Ava and Alex’s past story very depressing yet so heartbreaking. they deserves better. the characters, okay i’m going to be honest in here, i really love Ava’s character so so much. she’s just someone that i could relate to or i could be friend with, like she’s just look and sounds very sunshine i adore her so much. while Alex’s character, i’m really scared of him….like i don’t even know why but i’m scared of him….i just like his character when him being nice towards Ava and Josh. yup i love Alex and Josh’s relationship. they’re such a dork when they’re together. wait i need to talk about the SMUT. the smut is everything jn this book i really LOVE it. i mean ALEX 🧎🏻♀️🧎🏻♀️🧎🏻♀️. overall, so far this series is good i mean i could know a lot of characters already that i will meet soon and they’re such a great characters. this might not be my fav book in the series but i really enjoyed this so much. i gave this book 3.5 stars rounded up to 4 stars. go read this book if you love some brother’s best friend, grumpy x sunshine, great spice!!

4,5/5 stars ⭐️ grumpy sunshine + brothers best friends? i’m living for these two tropes together. oh my god, i cannot wait to start reading the second book.

Twisted Love: 3/5 “If you let lesser people determine your self-worth, you'll never reach higher than their limited imagination.” Premise: Twisted Love is a New Adult romance that follows a troubled COO, Alex Volkov, and his best friend's sunshiny sister, Ava. When Ava's brother, Josh, leaves for an internship in Central America, Josh leaves his best friend and business extraordinaire, Alex Volkov, to watch over his sister. To keep a closer eye, Alex moves in next door, but not all is as it seems when the two to get closer and secrets are exposed. Writing & Plot: This book entertained me. I thought the first half was amazing; the slow burn romance was so good, along with a well-developed plotline. The romance was well written, and I devoured this book in two days. There were plenty of cliches that I didn't love and took me out of the reading experience, but it wasn't a dealbreaker. Furthermore, I thought once the romance started, it moved really fast. I'm unsure whether that's because readers are supposed to assume more time passes between chapters, but it felt rushed and inconsistent with the first half. Characters: For the first half I really liked both Alex and Ava together and separate. For the final half, I was starting to get annoyed with how wishy-washy Alex was. One second, he'd be happy to see Ava, and another second he wasn't. It tied in with the plot, but I think it was dragged out maybe a bit too long. Conclusion: Overall I think this is a great book, and I read it in two sittings. It's addictive, hot, and sexy. Everything you could want in a romance novel. I'm excited about the next novel, especially after this ending! Highly recommend it to 18+ romance readers!

3.5/5⭐️

fucking hated this book

había una escena extra pero me dio paja leerla. no me gustó y ahora no se si seguir leyendo los otros

I honestly loved this book and i don’t understand how others didn’t enjoy it as well. It was so interesting i had to continuously turn the page every second because it was so good !

Umm what the hell why was it so good. Usually it takes me time to get invested in a story but I was addicted to this book right away. I love Ava and Alex and I never expected all the plot twists to do with their past and suspense behind that which made the book even better. Some parts at the start were a bit odd reading but I still give it a full 5.

the best-friends brother & the betrayal trope served istg it had so many tropes and it was so good alex and ava YES I LOVE THEM SM enchanted by taylor swift fits them sm in the last chapters istg - "You're right, sweetheart," I said, dropping my forehead to hers with a resigned sigh. So. Fucked. "But the rules don't apply to vou." - "Tell me who or what I need to kill," "I told you, nothing. It was just the lake. You can't kill a lake." "I’ll drain every fucking lake and ocean in the world if I have to.” - “You are the light to my dark. Without you, I'm lost.” - "You told me once there was something beautiful waiting for me, something that'll restore my faith in life. I've found it. It's you. - “I can't do that, sweetheart. I'll wait however long it takes, but I'll never be okay with a world in which vou're alone.”

the ANGST was so on point aahhhhh absolutely loved it

SHUT.THE.FRONT.DOOR!!! AHHKHCJKSHJKSHFHKHE WHY WAS THIS SO ADDICTING? after reading this, i went ahead and picked up twisted games asap cuz what the actual drug was in this. ALEX IS MY BEST MAN UGHHH HOW TF CAN PPL HATE ON HIM I LOVE HIM SO MUCH ITS NOT FUNNY😧 also the epilogue was hilarious istg

I enjoyed Twisted Love. It was a super messy romance which I always love. Not the typical romance book, has lots of dark themes aswell.

it definitely took me a little bit to get into but once i did i couldn’t put it down.

ngl i didn’t understand what was going on with the plot i won’t lie and the singing????

I'm ready to add this book on my shelves because I’m obsessed!! Ava and Alex are such interesting characters to read about. Ava is such a sweetheart and a true ray of sunshine and Alex comes off as cold and cruel, but when it comes to Ava, it's a totally different story. I loved to see the development of both of them throughout the story. I loved the passion and fierceness that they had for one another and I also loved the banter between them as well. It was a great balance. This book was so freaking good. I couldn't and didn't want to put it down for one second. It’s such a page turner! I can't wait to see what happens in the upcoming books. I thought this was such a great book that introduced everyone and really kept me engaged in the entire story not only with the main characters but all of the secondary ones as well. If you're looking for a really great page turner where you can't and don't want to peel your eyes away for a second, I highly recommend reading this book! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I received an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Wannabe Heath Ledger

i remember absolutely nothing other than being very bored and laughing at it for the all the wrong reasons. alex was just a walking red flag cringey too like what in the wattpad. ava was boring too like none of the characters were fleshed out

What a silly book! Apparently the hero is an alpha Alpha male. It was laid on so thick, it just became silly. Too much eye rolling from me. Too over the top for me. He was the best at everything! So silly I couldn't get into it. Him being ALPHA, her being sweet, the plot twists, the betrayal. Felt like a soap opera. Girl, you can do better!! This dude needs to chill. Not interested in the following books.

** spoiler alert ** 3⭐️⭐️⭐️ 💥💥💥SPOILERS AHEAD💥💥💥 However, ranking this book involves more than the spice. This was a VERY VERY good book. There’s was times I cringed and laughed on some of the things said and done in the book. (I’m an evil person I know). Alex just was too broody sometimes, and by all means I love a broody MC, however sometimes it didn’t make sense. For the love of God WHY did he burst in on her photo shoot and demand she leave and delete hours of work from the guys camera. That photo shoot was a part of her career and he just destroyed it in seconds “NO MAN SHOULD SEE YOU DRESSED LIKE THAT” and those aren’t the exact words but GET. OVER. YOURSELF. she’s a grown woman and shouldn’t need to explain the concept of her work. especially to someone who IS NOT HER BOYFRIEND. Also, the CAR SCENE picking up the birthday cake?!! Who is he to point out what she’s wearing and making her feel bad for how she is dressed. I absolutely loved the plot of Ava dealing with emotional/physical trauma. That is horrible to say but I full heartedly believe it was a great thing to write about. Here is why. Trauma just doesn’t go away, it is a lingering part of your everyday life. Phobias are real, and they are HARD to push through, especially ones attached to some type of past experience that caused the phobia to start in the first place. I love how Ava had this phobia that was gut wrenching to her, it showed how strong she truly was to get up and and try to face that fear and conquer it. And I love Alex’s involvement in her journey. His support for her, and reassurance that he was there with her through it shows so much about his character and his love for her. I don’t like how rushed the end of this book felt, and that’s a big breaker for me. I don’t expect every book to end happy, and for this particular book, I feel as if maybe things could’ve been more elaborated and thorough. Explanation to follow below⬇️⬇️⬇️ Ava went to a whole other country for her passion in photography and we just didn’t get ANYTHING from her time in London. Besides a few stalkerish details about Alex, a few mentions about meeting friends at pubs after classes, and her friends visiting a few times. I would have loved to read about her establishing herself as a photographer and gaining all these amazing opportunities because in the beginning it was stated how her dad did not support her passion for photography and she still proceeded to pursue it. I just felt like that aspect of her life did not get what it deserved. Especially since Alex’s career was talked about and explained a lot throughout the book. Fast forward and she’s been in a push and pull with Alex for a year where it’s briefly mentioned he walks her home and she does training with him. And then all of a sudden BOOM. He buys her art, sings to her, threatens a male asking her out and they are back together fine and dandy like she didn’t just admit that she had trust issues based off of him lying to her about why he became friends with them in the first place!! Not to mention how he lied about his feelings for her for months because he “believed” he failed to protect her for something he could not see coming??! ALSO NOT TO MENTION INSTEAD OF JUST EXPLAINING HIS ORIGINAL PLAN FOR HER FATHER HE GOES 180 AND LIES AND SAYS ALL KIND OF HURTFUL THINGS ABOUT HER IN FRONT OF AN AUDIENCE????!!!! As for spice, I really enjoyed the phone call scene, however, all the other scenes seemed to be … lacking. And I say this because everytime they had sex it was from behind, and then switched to missionary. and normally wouldn’t be a problem, but i truthfully don’t understand how this man can only have specific ways of having sex and then it’s “different” with Ava. Especially since this point of the book there was no hint of romantic interest. Like maybe after a couples times then okay but for it to be okay on the first?? I don’t know, just seemed very cliche. Idk, I throughly enjoyed this book, but it just didn’t hit 4 or 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ for me. Now, I could already see the forbidden romance coming for the next book based off of Rhys description and being a princesses bodyguard and I absolutely cannot wait to read one of my favorite tropes!😍😍
Highlights

But you are the only woman I have eyes for. Your enemies are my enemies, your friends are my friends, and if you wanted, I would burn down the world for you.

Though let's be honest, it was already too late. She was mine. She just didn't know it yet.
