Feels mean to say but i found it boring. I went into it blind, I did not know what it was about at any lengths, I honestly kind of believed it was thriller but it was a coming of age lgbtq story. I mean I'm not saying I have anything against that but it still could've been more interesting, like I get it the author was trying to show a regular happy story for a 15 year old going through it but I picked up this book after a reading hiatus of 6 months, really wanted this book to be something else. Maybe it wasn't even the book's fault, I had different expectations from it. but I really didn't like that way it was written, it read like a self published book online, I found the main character cringe, because the author tried to make him funny by trying to say witty and edging things, making fun of everything but I just found it annoying an immature but I guess it's accurate for a 15 year old. I'm kind of disappointed but all in all at least it got to reading.

           i understand that jeff is too young to be so sure of himself and everything else around him; hence, the evident immaturity in him throughout his narration in the book. how he faced his issues about his self-identity is quite an accurate representation of confused teenagers who don’t know any better, and i honestly get that. what i didn’t like about this book was how 80% of the time, it revolved around him calling the other kids crazy and demeaning names—i guess as a defense mechanism. he didn’t even attempt to understand the struggles they have to overcome, or how difficult it must be for them to end up in a psychiatric ward. also, how the hell did rankin get out unpunished for what he did? i’m convinced he sexually assaulted jeff, took advantage of his queerness. the doctor and the staff didn’t even asked questions, or the right ones rather. they just let him off. it’s such a poor representation. being gay doesn’t necessarily mean letting another man touch you without permission or even when you’re asleep. jeff always felt disgusted after doing it with rankin. it’s such a shame that the book failed to describe how to set boundaries. and jeff is supposed to forget all that because he’s gay? that’s a pretty fucked up thing. i have a lot more to say, but all in all, this book is a bit disappointing, especially in the end.

I honestly really liked this book. It reminds me of my own diary entries, just kinda talking to no one in particular but also at the same time having a conversation with the reader. Jeff is 15 and a little too relatable for me. Also I love how sarcastic he is, it really brought the humor to his situation.

Well that was totally unexpected. 

I thought this was going to make me sad being that it's about suicide and all. But it didn't, it absolutely didn't. It was full of wit and sarcasm which is just my cup of tea. It talks about really important stuff without being all preachy and shit, if you know what I mean. 

It's an amazing book that I think everyone should read.

This has got to be one of the worst books ever. Like how are you going to write about Jeff feeling bad about his interactions with Rankin to a point where he literally avoided showering just to not meet Rankin there and then write about him thinking he wanted it and was partially at fault for what happened? Like Rankin was assaulting Jeff because getting into somebody's bed while theyre sleeping and touching them is not okay? Also?? Why was this grown ass man writing lowkey explicit scenes of 15-16 years old teenagers having sexual relations? Idk how to call them, but i literally did not want to read about a fifteen year old sucking a dick and it made me uncomfortable. I had high expectations for this but it was so disappointing. If i could give this book a lower rating, I would. Michael Thomas Ford just know that you are a piece of shit and an awful writer.

I found Jeff’s dark, sarcastic humour very relatable. Plot-wise it isn’t exactly the most thrilling book I’ve ever read, but I enjoyed Michael’s style of storytelling and enjoyed the balance between the darkness of psychological problems and (forced) treatment on one side, and self deprecation and lightheartedness on the other. All in all an easy read on self discovery, acceptance and loss, with an oddly superficial connection to the characters.

Tamsi, bet šauni knyga. Jefas turi humoro jausmą, jis nėra nublukęs veikėjas, valdomas autoriaus. Jis lyg tikras žmogus, turintis savo jausmus, nesukurtas rašiklio. Knyga gali daug reikšti LGBT jaunimui. Atsiverti patiems sau. Knyga turi tą prieskonį, kuris atveria visus skonius į malonumą. Tamsi, juokinga, spaudžianti širdį, sukelianti šypseną istorija.

Veikėjai buvo nuostabūs. Kai Jefas su jais kalbėdavosi, jausmas, lyg ir pati su jais kalbėjausi. 

Pačio Jefo mintys ir galvos avilio vidus įdomus sukūrys. Labai keista, bet įdomu, kaip jis suprato savižudybės bandymo priežastį tik pačiame 45 dienų terapijos gale. Ar nenorėjo prisipažinti. Ar nenorėjo mums atskleisti. Bet jis nepaprastai įdomus veikėjas. One of my favs.

Labai retai perku knygas, po to, kai jas perskaičiau internetu. Bet "Suicide Notes" verta kiekvieno mano cento. Jefas artimas. Pati knyga artima. Reikia.

Pretty good book, it made me laugh alot. it was interesting from the beginning, as opposed to alot of books where you really have to get into the book for 3 chapters. I couldn’t put it down, as soon as i picked it up i spent the whole day reading. To a certain extent i related alot to the characters in the book.

It’s about Jeff, a fifteen year old guy who tried to kill himself. He now is in a 45day program, every chapter is a New day and that’s What kept it interesting to me. It tells you How he feels about What he did, Why he did it and about the other people in the program. I would totally recommend it, If u like to read about this. Tw: suicide, depression, death

I really liked this! It was no way near as dramatic as you would've expected, what with the subject and all. The main character, Jeff, is likable, witty and a great storyteller. I finished the book feeling like his friend. Highly recommended.

This book made me cry,laugh and even more emotions came out of me. If your depressed or suicidal please get help before its to late... even tho its not to late to get help. Yes we understand u don't wanna tell people or if u already told somebody and they don't care about it or say your crazy in the head. I understand how it is suicidal or having depression I had it all.. I put it online and had some ppl trying to help me. It didn't work at all. When my mom found out I tried to kill myself she wanted to take me to the ward but I said I didn't need help but I did need it. This book is soooo good I LOVED IT LOVED IT LOVED IT.... The MC tried to kill himself ( he also said that was some of it but not all of it) bc he was in love with his bestfriend boyfriend he kissed him and the bestfriend boyfriend pushed him off and said are u a fag.. and ofc he told his girlfriend that her bestfriend tried to him and that he was gay. He also told his family that he was gay I was happy and excited. Then BOOM a character died...I liked her like she was my favorite character.. I cried when she died.. I HATE WHEN AUTHORS KILL MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS IN THE BOOK AHHHHHH... THIS BOOK IS A FIVE STAR READ
